    P5 in mbb is not the same as P5 in college football. Look at other SEC schools who have hired recently, how many hired P5 assistants were hired straight from being an assistant? None. Not one. All came from being a head coach somewhere. Doing what you said is how we ended up with Rick Ray.

    Pittsburgh Recommendation

    Was just there. Great city. Lots to do. Baseball game if they are in town. Duquesne Incline. Restaurants all over downtown. I liked Braddock's Rebellion. Wonderful salmon.

    Kopps winning golden spikes.

    Kopps performance in the Supers was hardly a letdown. Actually it was the hitting that let Arkansas down. He gave them every chance to win. Even with his last inning. Im glad Kopps won instead of Leiter or Rocker. He had an unreal season. Sims was great too.

    A 3rd of the league (250 of 750) is made up of international players. 105 out of opening day 40 man roster spots (1200) were former SEC players. So 12% of mlb rosters played in the SEC. 5% of the entire leagues current players played at MSU, Vandy, LSU, and Florida.

    I just dont see how we remain a national seed. All this assumes no one else wins anymore.     I think we have some incoming outfielders who could push for playing time next year. One signee, James Wood, will probably be a high draft pick. But a couple others may make it on campus

    I'm guessing the reason that hasn't happened yet is because Allen's draft prospects have him in outfield not 1b. Why can't Cumbest move to 1b? He's a big guy with good receiving skills.
