Try these 3 about the war in the Pacific by authors who were there:
"With the Old Breed" by E. B. Sledge - has been touted as the most realistic look at men in combat ever - used in making "The Pacific" series.
"Helmet for my Pillow: From Parris Island to the Pacific" by Robert Leckie - basis...
I agree. Looks like SS was trying to hurry thru his sentence without much thought. He should definitely clarify it. Rick on the other hand wanted to stay - just too much noise against him. I don't think he was a happy camper when he left. That much is different between he and Sharon.
My definition of success for him would have been two straight NITs and flirting with the NCAAT next year possibly this year. At least a chance to play your way in at the end of the season. He has beaten teams like Tennessee, LSU and FSU, so the ability is there. Maybe it is coaching...I don't...
Always been my opinion that coaches at this level all know the X's and O's of coaching. It is the execution of those X's and O's at this level that is most important.
I don't want to slight either one. Baseball is in good shape right now, and DNF will be improved eventually. But, we really need to do something about basketball soon. Should never have been allowed to slide this much.
Why are we even concerned about this? There are any number of coaches in the country (head coaches and/or 1st assistant) who would jump at the chance to be our head coach!***
If nobody would take the job last time, could someone explain to me why any of these guys would take the job now. Well, besides Kenny Payne and Wayne Brent because I'm assuming those were just throwaways.
