Mississippi State Football Needs Full Indoor Practice Facility and a South Endzone to be competitive in the SEC

Why can't we just add metal bleachers in the south endzone that connect to the main grandstand to create a full bowl? This would not cost that much and they would fill up by fans who can be closer to the field. I know a 2014-type expansion would cost a lot of money. I do agree that money needs...

Mississippi State Football Needs Full Indoor Practice Facility and a South Endzone to be competitive in the SEC

I disagree. No one wants to sit all the way in the upper deck. I have been up there and it is uncomfortable and too far from the field. Also if you have a fear of heights, it is uncomfortable. We will fill the south endzone just like the north endzone. People like end zone seating. You are...

    Record enrollment has it's price

I think Mississippi State University still has the largest on campus enrollment, but Ole Miss in recent years has been adding the enrollment of the medical school in Jackson to their enrollment. Mississippi State also adds its enrollment at Meridian and other off campus locations, but I think...

Serious Question: What Does Starkville Need To Do For You To Move There?

Starkville officials have plans to invest in a large youth sports tournament facility in the works. There are also efforts to increase the amount of park space obviously the current amount is lacking. Hiking and biking trails are something that needs to be addressed and improved.

Serious Question: What Does Starkville Need To Do For You To Move There?

Oxford's growth hasn't been affected by Ole Miss's football performance if you keep up with demographic data. Other factors are attracting people there.

Serious Question: What Does Starkville Need To Do For You To Move There?

I am asking this as an MSU alumnus and 30 year resident of Starkville and I can contact city leaders if anyone has good ideas. Don't compare Starkville to Nashville or Atlanta-That is not a fair comparison. What can Starkville reasonably do with the population it has to attract you and other...

    Sports Center Closing

People in Starkville still call Vowell's Marketplace Piggly Wiggly or Foodmax. There was once a grocery store called Sack and Save and it changed to Winn Dixie and people still called it Sack and Save. Whenever a local business gets a new name, it takes a long time to learn the new name for some...
