    Very little playing time at Mizzou. Not a stretch guy— no 3s and all of on 26% free throws. We’re getting a bit desperate on bigs but it’s not clear that this guy would be that helpful except to clog the lane but maybe there’s something there if TAM & IU are actually interested in him .

    He would be a massive upgrade, with him and Nick on the inside, both likely drawing double teams, the perimeter would really open up for 3s. I imagine it will take quite a bag of nil to land Mara, especially as bigs are generally quite expensive this year.

    Yes, but we really need a really solid big to anchor the defense. Hunger is not even close to Matt’s defensive presence although he might score a bit more. Without a stoppe, the defense will not be nearly as strong as the last 3 years.

    Serious question—- don’t you think that B Mac, CCC or other of the coaches would already have tried to work with him on both his shooting and handle? I would be most surprised if they hadn’t done so. That is a big part of why I think he doesn’t become a serviceable Big reserve.

    The point raised throughout this thread is that from what Clayton has shown, the probabilities of his becoming a serviceable player are probably 5 to 15 %. After two years he is an absolute liability on offense and his defense is still far from what is needed. There are no flashes to show he can...

    Well I think he thought that Smith had learned his and would never foul again on a close out at the end of the game. Smith owes Martinelli big time for making that last shot to save Smith from being the goat ( and not the G.O.A.T kind).
