    OT: Bourbon reviews

Blanton’s is my sipper. Bulleit Rye/Maker’s 46/Woodford Double/Kirkland are my all-purpose. Don’t sleep on the Kirkland labeled bourbons… they are terrific for the money.

OT- Jimmy Carter has died at 100

I was mostly referring to the Chalk River Meltdown incident that he led the repair operations of while in the Navy. Being lowered into highly radioactive water to repair a partial meltdown takes more guts than most of us have. I shouldn’t have said war hero. My apologies.

OT- Jimmy Carter has died at 100

I won’t argue whether he was good/bad as a president, but not qualified? Farmer, war hero, governor, married to the same woman for 80 years… how was he not qualified?

    OT: Chicago Downtown

La Scarola is the best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at. Rumor is that it is mob-owned, but the food is worth going. Literally everything there is fantastic, and the prices are fair.

    OT: Louisville, KY

Bourbon Trail has a bunch spots not too far from Louisville. The Zoo is small, but well maintained. Go when it first opens and the animals are typically out (especially if you go left when you start, instead of right). You can get it done by lunchtime. If you have a baseball/softball kid, the L...

    OT: Best 4k TV

OLED. Doesn’t matter the brand. Just make sure it is OLED. I think Vizio has them now and their prices are better.

    To the Virus Mavens

There are so many variables here, and this isn’t much of a case history to work with. Number 1: We don’t know, precisely, how it spreads. We have really good ideas on the transmission, but this still such a new disease that scientists are still working it out. We also don’t know what viral...

OT: What kind of truck do you drive and why?

I think anyone who is truck shopping really needs to try the different ones and not stick with one brand. I never considered a RAM until my wife forced me to their dealership and gave it a shot. Crazy comfortable.

OT: What kind of truck do you drive and why?

I have been lusting after the new RAM 1500 Laramie. I have never been in a smoother riding truck, and the tech is far beyond the others (outside of the Toyota safety stuff). Plus they are running amazing deals, where you can get into a leather Laramie for just above $40,000. I haven’t seen any...

    Slow month -Gas Prices

Got my gas in Lexington, KY, and it was $2.37. It really isn't that expensive here.

    Things That Starkville Needs

Not saying it is an awesome political strategy, but a sound one. The way the state is governed now, however, is backwards and constrictive. Why would black, hispanic, gay, young or wealthy people want to move to Starkville and Mississippi in general? Jobs? There are not nearly enough good...

    Things That Starkville Needs

You need an infusion of citizens moving to the city. Period. Without that, the city will not change. To improve that, the state government needs to learn what younger people want, and why they will move to a place. Most Boomers are settled and it will be harder to get them to uproot. It will...
