    I think we have missed Strickland on the recruiting and especially guard coaching as much as anything. Man developed guards very well and they could talk to him. Cal pretty much has to do it all. To much for one man imo.

    This will surely tell my age fellows: Dan Issel must be in any conversation during anytime or decade. So must be Frank Ramsey, Wallce ( Wah Wah) Jones and yes Cliff Hagan. A few Honn Ments : Bill Spivey, Shelby Linville and Cotton Nash. With respect to all.

    Why did Joe B Hall stop coaching?

    If I remember correctly that credit should go to Coach Rupp. Tom Payne was the first person of color to play basketball at U K. Coach Hall did the recruiting at the time but Rupp was the head coach. No one gives Rupp credit for that either. Not trying to nit pick just the facts as I remember...
