    Typically, you're agent would figure all of that into the deal (gross up offer by 13.5% just to account for additional tax load). That said, it's likely that UT counters with something that is equivalent, even if it has more bonus money and less guaranteed, and perhaps over a longer period...

    But what about the kid? What if he WANTS the opportunity to go bigger? Until we have a system that pays kids some market rate for their contributions to the revenues of the school's programs, this rings a bit hollow.

    There is no evidence, but anecdotes that some kids hate school, desperately need the money, etc...it's not based on any science.
