    There are generally at least one or two inaccuracies in those. Better to get it from the source if possible, even if the IHSA has mistakes too.

    Another possibility for this may be Vienna/Goreville - they are on Massac County's schedule.

    Anybody know when the IHSA is releasing the schedules? If I remember correctly it was July 18 (a Friday) last year, and I'd assume they'd do it at least as early this year since games are starting earlier. I'm itching for football to come back...

    You maybe give the starters two drives for the sake of keeping them in practice, but I don't disagree with the point in general.

    Brother Rice hosting UCCS Woodlawn in Week 2. That completes the schedules. Woodlawn is probably a weaker opponent than even Hoopeston, but at least it's a short trip and both teams get a game. Woodlawn will get some playoff points out of it, if they're playoff eligible.

    Which makes sense - but why are they purportedly playing just one game of varsity? If I were at the IHSA, I would be having some conversations about whether those games, and presumably wins, count for playoff purposes.

    I'm seeing some signs of teams that only intend to play one or two varsity games this year, and otherwise play JV. A few cases: - Jones Prep is scheduled to play Ridgewood in Week 2, which has been to my knowledge their only listed varsity game. I stumbled on their Hudl page today...
