    Sterling, while not in the WB6 at the time, went to the 5A semis in 2017 and 2018, and 5A quarters in 2016 and 2022 (when they WERE in the WB6)

    Sterling v Galesburg was an all-timer. Overshadowed by the loss was Galesburg QB/DB Grady Hickey throwing for 415 yards and 5 TDs and rushing for 70 yards and another score. And filling in at DB, he picked off 2 passes. Remarkable performance.

    Woodstock Marian is 1A? Good gracious. Less than a decade ago (2017), they hosted Sterling in a 5A quarterfinal. I don't think they've made the playoffs since.

    Rock Falls has to be considered. Every year they win 0 or 1 game. Maybe 2 once in a decade. That points to a tough schedule, no?

    Not exactly what the question is asking, but Sterling is building a training facility in the field behind the stadium which will add to the landscape of the campus.
