Beamer did good with OC, OL and RB coaches. Now...

Did Donati have a hand in these recent hires? Yes Donati gets most of the credit. By himself Beamer was underwater in terms of his ability to hire top tier coaches. That probably won't change until Beamer (with the aid of the new staff) demonstrates that he is a serious contender in the SEC.

    It's Impressive

It's Impressive that Kiffin left behind a coaching staff at Ole Miss that was good enough to beat Georgia.

Well, Beamer proved us all wrong

Donati was the catalyst here; he showed he could be a difference maker in snagging a high quality OC. Beamer showed his limitations when he hired Shula. Give Beamer credit for holding the line on recruiting.

Making Room For New leadership ?

Offensive line coach gone; running back coach gone; receivers coach to analyst (?) - seems like the administration is clearing the way for a new offensive coordinator ?.

    Donati Should veto This Idea

    Donati Should veto This Idea

It's hard to believe we are still advancing the idea of an internal candidate for OC. The following quote from the State newspaper caught my attention: Beamer said. “We’re going to get the best guy in here, whether that’s within this staff, or whether that’s from the outside.” Really ? - after...

Duckworth to sign with Carolina. Maybe gray skies are clearing up.

From day one ,I was impressed with Beamer as a recruiter. He needs some good news in a miserable season of heartache -. Congratulations. Now press on for a quality OC (and no I wan't an internal candidate). I will say it again- it's time for Donati to oversee this hire and add value to this process.

A couple OC candidates to whet the appetite

Gamecocks (including Beamer) can't afford to make another bad pick. Donati has a chance here to enhance his reputation as a skill player ,by hiring a quality candidate - perhaps even hitting a home run.

    Offensive coordinator name

Add Major Applewhite to List: Experienced offensive coach; limited success as a head coach (Houston, South Alabama - current).

What possible justification is there keeping Beamer at this point?

Beamer went 9-3 last year; he has shown that he can do the job. He is a strong recruiter- bringing in several 5 star recruits from out of state markets. He is a great leader/motivator/role model for young people. He likely will have two starting NFL quarterbacks (Rattler & Sellers) - something...

I asked Google why AI cannot outperform a human OC

Don't mind me. I am just an 82 year old retired college professor- with a PhD in Business/Finance from the University of South Carolina.

I asked Google why AI cannot outperform a human OC

answer: experts emphasize that human instinct, gut feeling, and the ability to make a gutsy call in high-pressure situations (like a 4th and 1 in the Super Bowl) are things a machine cannot yet replicate. Relationship and Communication: A major part of a coach's job involves building...

    Extend Beamer, increase buyout

if we are committed to keeping Beamer, it seems to me the smartest move would be to extend him and increase his buyout No I would not double-down and reward failure. I would not extend his contract or increase his buyout. If you don't believe he can turn it around, then just fire him. If you...
