Hurley said as much the first time around, and it would be hard to argue that wasn't true, but he was very complimentary towards what Rutgers had put in place and was planning to the second time. He just had some promises to keep in Rhode Island and a good situation there at the time.

Rhode Island was slowed at times during the season by injuries. Hassan Martin missed five and played a lot more at less than 100% following a torn quadriceps. That's a tough injury for an undersized big, who is all about power and explosiveness. The starting pg struggled physically then missed...

Our first WTF loss

At full strength, Penn State is not great. Today, they were missing their leading scorer (14 points/game) plus half the team and some staff members are still fighting the flu. Pikiell is good. I think that's agreed upon. Still, there's an adjustment to coaching in a higher level conference...
