    Baseball Attendance

Got to visit the new DNF yesterday, and boy was it something to behold. Wonderful place. Feels like a major league park. I was looking at the attendance, though, and for Saturday and Sunday, attendance was appx 9400 for each game. However, it felt like there were 3000-4000 people more than...

After I have calmed down and reflected.

I don’t think so, but I don’t specifically recall. But it at least flipped the field. If it did, it was the very first touchdown they got.

    Penalty comparison.....

I wonder what the difference In 15 yard penalties is?

The blocker was in position, engaged with open hands, and drove him to the ground by driving his feet. Textbook open field pancake. Defender didn’t even attempt to engage. Go to the 3:24 mark. https://youtu.be/i2xsZCmjT6k

We didn’t help ourselves at all. The only call I kinda disagreed with was the Defensive Pass Interference they called on McLaurin. I thought he got his head around in time to play the ball. Other than that, everything else was stupid, preventable ******** we brought on ourselves.

Unfortunately, That “tackle” was a pancake block. Those won’t get called. Nothing about that setup block was illegal. I thought it was a lot worse when I saw it live, but on replay, it was just a good block.

OT: Stock Market - Did somebody punch a hole in the boat?

I disagree because I work in an industry that is paying the price for this trade war. Steel prices are artificially high. For every company that is helped by Tariffs, there are 10 that are paying the price. Ie... Automotive is in the tank now (though it’s not necessarily the presidents...

    The Fitz vs. Key debate

Fitz is a terrible downfield passer. Without a screen/perimeter game, we will be seeing more of the same. I think Mullen used a lot of screen/swing passes to hide the fact Fitz can’t throw from the pocket.

Here's the problem with the offense

We all love to hate on bubble screens... But Mullen used to run the **** out of those and swing passes. I think that hid a lot of Fitz’ passing woes. Mooreheads passing game is more centered on downfield passing... which Fitz has shown to not be good at. Think about it... we are running the...

Buy/Sell: The fumble touchback is the dumbest rule in all of sports.

Here’s the thing... It’s inconsistent. In high school, you can fumble the ball forward anywhere on the field and be either rewarded or punished. You fumble on your opponents 20 and it goes OOB at the 7, you get the ball at the 7. In this instance, it is not unfair that if you fumble the ball...

    Good read on SI.com

Well, no. And frankly, I dont expect him to. But I guess I would expect anyone to be a decent human being towards their players. He won football games here, which is great. But his players helped him do that, too. He did fine by the university, as far as I’m concerned... he didn’t by his...

    Good read on SI.com

Steve Robertson reported on all thisna while back... Basically confirming that: 1. Mullen spent most of the week of the Egg Bowl talking with both Tennessee and Florida. Did not attend many meetings or practices. 2. Spent the week leading up to the Egg Bowl telling everyone within earshot he...

OT- Is this the end for Costco in Ridgeland?

A lot of these “blue” laws date back to prohibition. Mississippi was a huge supporter of prohibition in the 20s and many of these laws were enacted at that time to curb, as one poster said, “organized crime” (to be fair, a lot of alcohol at the time was funneled through organized crime, so...

    So what do ya'll think?

The lights are LED setups similar to these. https://www.stadionwelt-business.de/images/news/1447942825.jpg These are really cool. The shrouds help keep direct light out of your eyes while doing a much better job of illumination. Also, close to 80% more efficient that conventional HID setups.
