Fear is driving this more than the actual threat in my opinion. It would be interesting to see how the collateral damage deaths match up to the actual corona deaths.
His Ex sounded terrified... We don't know how they talk to each other. It did not sound like a genuine threat to me. Poor way to express your anger? Sure but he was not actually going to shoot her in the head... I hear people say dumb stuff all the time.
