    Your point has credence here with merit to Pope's age. He is no spring chicken but plenty young enough for a coach, albeit I'm not sure how that correlates to his ability to continuously improve. Some do, some don't. People are different, but i do know he's still hungry due to lack of success...

    If Pope whiffs this year we need to grab Donovan, if we can. Sore subject for many I know, but he would win here. Things chsnge over the years and he might want the challenge. Regardless, if we do bad this year, then I think Pope is toast and we go coach shopping with the new AD (TBD)...

    Nice stats. Does give hope to us. I've soured on the Pope honeymoon after last season but still rooting for the guy. He coaches our (UK) team, and I want to win, and if he proves he can get it done here - clock is ticking away - then we got our guy. We won't have to worry about losing a coach...

    I think what they mean and reference, and someone correct me if i'm wrong here, is the dichotomy between current expectations and reality. We didn't have a great year, and nobody expects us to make a F4, but if we somehow did after this lackluster season, that would be a major accomplishment...
