    Evolution of Our Offense

Here's the thing: The offense IS designed to score 50 points. It did at Bowling Green under the same guy. What's really changed is the tempo, or lack thereof. Obviously the play calling and overall philosophy, such as it is appears to have changed For all the lack of scoring that as been...

Well no, I was answering your question: You asked what incentives he had to change things. He has a significant financial incentive and it's a fact of life in coaching that ultimately everyone pays with their job. The only variable is how long it takes for it to happen. In this case, it would be...

    Unacceptable

He's got about 2.2 million incentives a year. Contracts end and can be bought out if things get bad enough. I'd call this bad enough.

Phew. Deep down I knew, but in 2016 you never can tell. I hope you are right. What happened yesterday can NEVER be allowed to happen again.

Willy, I actually quite like your grumpiness and for the most part make a point to read your posts with an open mind even if I might disagree with you. This one, with all due respect, I can't: I know we're all at a pretty low ebb right now, but are you so desperate for a win at a game played...

    Thorsen

There are many problems with this team. Clayton Thorson is about #256. He is showing expected improvement from his Freshman to his Sophomore season. Yes, he could stand to be more consistent, but I challenge any QB we've had in recent years to be consistent in launch angle, release point and...

Replay on field was not working on Sat.

There have been cases where the field officials haven't been able to properly explain the replay official's decision. It's a trial to see if it helps the official on the field understand the reasoning in the booth.

Replay on field was not working on Sat.

It's not quite true either, InsideNU is only reporting half the story. The replay officials in the booth had access to all angles available on TV. What wasn't working were the new monitors on the sidelines. Those monitors are also not for the officials to make their own calls, unlike in the...

Who else thinks Clayton Thorson will have a breakout year?

Mike doesn't work with the QB's. He works with the WR's.

Who else thinks Clayton Thorson will have a breakout year?

Who exactly do you mean by support staff? I can understand if you're talking coaches, I'd disagree, but can see it. But if you're blaming our offensive woes on GA's and recruiting staff, which is who the support staff actually are, that's a somewhat bizarre statement.

    Criminal Investigation

You'd have to ask Brian Kelly and it's absolutely true.

    Criminal Investigation

To be fair, the filmers at NU were up in the air in the same winds that day. Our head coach just got them down a lot quicker.

    Criminal Investigation

I appreciate the rant but I was specifically talking about camp. I'm not naive enough to think our guys are perfect and I too know exactly who on our team has done what and when with guns, drugs and alcohol (Xavier Menifield and Jeff Radek, I'm looking at you) But our guys, the night before a...
