    oats already said no

Oats even literally saying no doesn't matter. He re upped with Buffalo and then 2 weeks later was the coach of Bama.

If it turns out to be Drew, will you get behind him?

I supported Calipari toward the end. I was sad that BCG couldn't fit in. Scott Drew's name may have never come up in potential replacements for Cal in my head. But I am not Mitch Barnhart (or am I?). I'll be behind him if he's the guy. If he isn't, then I'll go back to never thinking about him...

What if ? I know this is going to be controversial.

I have no inside knowledge. I know little and less about all this. I just know that someone putting out a statement or answering questions about a job opening are almost never true. And the more definitive the statement the more likely the person is lying. And none of what I've said should be...

If we re down to drew we should hire Pitino.

How is he the second best coach in the Nation? How is he better than Bill Self?

So to play devils advocate about Drew

Well then who do you want? You've shot down everyone possible. Are we asking Tyler Ulis? What?

Not throwing the kitchen sink at Hurley would

A better fit? Nate Oats for one. UCONN was a hand in glove fit for Hurley. It was the kind of thing that was written in the stars. The same way Cal was just what we needed. The same way Pitino was. Hurley just isn't that type of guy. He's a great coach. Probably the best or second best going...

What if ? I know this is going to be controversial.

Why is Hurley a definite no? Did he just sign an affidavit live on TV? Never believe anything until it's 1000% good to go.

    5 year 60 million

How do people say these types of things with such confidence? Did you go to UK? Do you know someone who went to UK? Do you have some kind of UK connection to the Athletics Department? Are you a big booster for UK? Do you know someone who talked to Hurley and Hurley said "12 million per for 5...

So to play devils advocate about Drew

He is only one of 6 coaches to win a National Championship that's still active right now. That's a rare and distinct accomplishment. He is not, however, or at least I don't think he is, a good fit for Kentucky.

Not throwing the kitchen sink at Hurley would

You will never hear me say i want freaking Scott Drew, Bryce Drew, or Drew McIntyre. I want Nate Oats or for Joe Mazzula to suddenly have a burning passion for coaching UK Basketball.

Fit and patience of everyone involved should be a consideration. We don't have robo-coach 3000 yet.

Goodman says Drew will be first (and likely only) call

Mitch Barnhart needs to go. Get a new AD in there. If this is the case and there's no other option. It's like we're getting Pat Riley to replace Eddie Sutton here. Scott Drew is a good coach and he turned a non-existent, on-the-brink-of-death program into a national champion. But there's more to...

Not throwing the kitchen sink at Hurley would

Much as I think Hurley would be a great choice it's taken him 6 years to get to this point at UCONN. It wouldn't look like UK basketball as we've ever been accustomed to. UCONN's two best players are transfer guys no one was breaking the door down for. They have the best Freshman and the best...
