It's kinda of weird we haven't heard a single update about those 2. You would think they would have gotten enough feedback by now? I dont know process, wasn't it Hami or PJ waited pretty much till midnight to decide to come back. I could be wrong.

It feels like it rarely works out with the guys who show that they really don't want to play here another year. PJ is the obvious rebuttal but it feels like most guys eventually come back, don't improve much then transfer. If either of these guys is thinking transfer I would prefer they do it now instead of going the Quade route and potentially stunting the growth of the other guys who are excited about playing here next year.

This isn’t good news the bench will be out of balance. Does Coach have another son who can step up for us??

When you say most guys then give us a list of all those guys that didn't want to play here another year, come back and eventually transfer. I am sure it is a long list. It seems like we have six or seven every year.

In what universe did he ever show enough to consider himself ready for pro ball. Last time I looked, the overseas leagues were pretty darn good. I don't think he's ready to play NBA-lite in Europe or Greece or Turkey. Just because he's tall doesn't mean he can play. I feel the same about EJ

Many bench players for top programs go play ball overseas. They have more freedom to show their game, more time to work on their game and much more playing time

I've had an odd, based-on-nothing scientific, feeling that Nick would leave all year. I hope I'm wrong, but I wouldn't bet much money either way.

Flame away as you will, but the newest model of Kentucky Basketball seems to suggest that players who haven't made it in two years are not going to make it at all-at least here. University of Kentucky Basektball has stopped, for the most part, being about the University of Kentucky, other than how it can serve as a progressive and as-brief-as possible stop on the way to the players actual dream. If that dream hasn't materialized in two years, all the handlers behind the player start thinking about other avenues.

Agree 100%! It's now come to the point that if you haven't been drafted after 2 seasons you might as well just go and play overseas somewhere. Somehow playing in Serbia has become a better option than coming back to UK for your sophomore or Junior season.

Oh we're not looking at the NIT at all..that's a bridge way too far, but part of me feels that we're in this cycle where if being a one and done is the goal, and in the most extreme cases, two years is warranted. After two years, time to explore other options.

I think we'll get someone pretty good..my guess is Blackshear. WORST CASE It's possible that we'll look a little like the ill-fated Skal year, but that team was not an NIT team.

Got a feeling Nick will go overseas and play.
A “feeling”? I have a feeling that you don’t know what you are talking about.

I believe Nick will be back, and become a much improved baseline defender and rebounder. I doubt Nick will ever have much of an offensive game since he does not catch the ball well on the low block.
