For this year's club - just get to the CWS. Now, thanks to the big-time play of our men, elimination will hit me much harder than dropping the first two...so close to the title!!!

Even if they are unable to do anything else, I will be very proud of this team and what they've accomplished. They have the fanbase believing that we can compete for titles. It's time.

Sounds like you've already conceded that we won't get there! This sort of mentality is why MSU hasn't been able to get over the hump and claim that title.

Not in the least. I mean the opposite. At 1st just wanted to be in CWS now we are on track to win it all! Just saying if we lose it will come hard NOW that I expect a NC. Before game one, I was prepped for a loss.
I don't see how having a goal of being one of the last 8 teams standing being a reason we haven't gotten over the hump yet. To win it all you must at least get to the CWS. Then it's a crap shoot. Which one of our attitudes caused the line shot back up the middle in 85? Or which of us let a lesser UCLA team sweep us? Or caused the ND buzzer beater in the Natty final last year?
