Thanks for vetting the board it means a lot. You say I should've posted the moment I heard it even though I was blasted for Hagans info. If you're like this today I cant imagine what you would've been like Saturday. The reason I posted at all yesterday was bc I had a good day and knew some would like to hear the news, although I knew not all would. You don't have to like/believe me, it doesn't effect my life outside of this board. Plenty on here have alluded to the same things I said yet I'm the only one you're jumping, thats ok I dont take it personally.

As Morg pointed out I've told him and others things via PM that have panned out and didn't post them on here bc I don't crave the attention some others do on this board.

Since you've vetted @TheAnonymous13 , lets ask him what he's hearing about JJ.

BTW Idt I've ever pretended to have all the scoops.

I appreciate the info bro..a lot of folks around here like to "shoot the messenger"

If he's anywhere near the player those two were, we are in for something special.

Likely to be a two year player, his potential is off the charts. He does all the things well that NBA scouts fall in love with. For the poster that said RJ Hampton is the best player in this class, you need to learn scout better. Their is several players in the class better, just have never been a fan of RJ Hampton's game..

But wait a second, coachX was a total fraud and that’s been proven. RalphD has actually had some good stuff. I never hit him because it’s rather obvious.

Tj Walker tried hard but obviously didn’t have the goods.

The other two seem to be fake.

It’s not really that hard to read between them.

It’s not about wanting to be respected with some. I genuinely told the board what I heard about Cal offering Penny because I thought ya’ll would really like to know. And of course a few days later Jones stole that and put it in print. I wasn’t trying to be cool. I was trying to inform other UK fans of what a well connected journalist and Memphis guy told me. Most accepted it, other ripped it. And it turned out to be true which I already knew because like I said, it was said to me by two people who would definitely know.

Some other things, like the Barnhart happenings, were told to me by my uncle who went to school with a very influential figure at UK whom he talks to regularly. If people actually knew the situation my private inbox would blow up, but I don’t usually go there because it’s not attention that I seek. I’m more concerned they’ll see I posted things (which I don’t think any of them are here minus the journalist I was talking about. He roams)

But I say this because believe it or not, some people actually do get some good t

idbits from time to time. Not everyone is trying to get attention. Runt does know some people in that area who tell him interesting things. I’m just tellin ya man, you’re off this time bro.

Work for a big time lawyer in Corbin, he is close to the program, donates, helps with drives and things like that. He tells me things from time to time as he hears it, how i knew about Juzang and Khalil Whitney..

How come you didn’t post?

What do you mean? I did post about them months ago, everyone was still assuming that Juzang was UCLA bound. Tried to post that he was over UCLA once Alford was fired and they could not score Cal, Bennet, or Beard and had to settle for a coach like Cronin, writing was on the wall, UCLA knew their recruiting was done for big time talent.

Juzang gave his verbal during his in home with Cal Friday. Should be announced tmmrw or a few days after his campus visit. He will be reclassifying. Wasn't supposed to post anything until an announcement was set but tmmrw seems most probable. UK will have plenty of wings next year and I'm happy to have a long team once again as Cal usually gets them to play great D early.

You are definitely one of the few I trust with inside info, that said when is this announcement supposed to go down? Also, what’s it looking like with blackshear. No way in hell Richards gets drafted, and ej has a slim to none chance as well even with the couple of games he played ok in. Either would be lucky to be one of the last 2 picks drafted and that automatically puts them in the gleague, cause neither are even close to nba ready

Why are people comparing to Baker?

I mean Baker might be a good player but he really didn’t contribute a whole lot.

I would hope this guy is a massive upgrade
He shoots 44% from 3. I guess the only other comparison is ther are black and from the west coast. Baker was in the high 89s at best and is only6’4, while Johnny is 6’7 and can play the 2/3 positions, something we have desperately needed.

JJ is closer to 6'5 than 6'7

I would hope this guy is a massive upgrade
Because:
-we lost Baker to transfer
-they're similar in size
-they have a comparable style of play
-it appears as though JJ is stepping into the void left by Baker
-all the other positions are filled
-both players are Light skinned (stated already)
-both players are from the left coast (stated already)
-three point shooting appears to be the primary offensive weapon for both players
-both are/were in backup roles
-some are hoping JJ will be a better Jermarl Baker

I think that covers it.

For a guy who smokes the positive vibe calumet with the best of them, I'm wondering why you decided to go all in on the negative slant in this thread and question the OP's integrity?

The OP has been nothing but civil. Who cares where he got his info or when he decided to post it. I'll take any good news and happily accept it six ways to Sunday.
It’s because he has turned into a complete contrarian/insufferable douche canoe the last few years. Nearly every post I see of his is correcting someone or disagreeing with them.

I don’t know why anyone gives someone crap for posting info. It does nothing but deter others from ever posting info here again.

I don't care how advanced medical and science get, no kid is normal after just a year of busting their knee internally like that.. Just look at Alex Poythress..

Not everyone heals the same. Some heal quicker than other. I have always healed faster than other people. God made everyone different.

Allen won’t be completely healthy/his normal self, for a good year. He will be good enough to play sooner but you don’t get your full range, power etc for awhile because after you heal you have to strengthen the muscles around the injury as well as get back to the shape that you were in before the injury

I won't disagree with strengthen the muscles but I still say everyone is different even in getting the muscles stronger. Some people just have better DNA.

There are tons of athletes who come back to their normal play level within a year of their ACL injury. Not saying Dontaie will but its very possible.

He’s a massive upgrade over Baker. This is the exact reason I didn’t join in on the collective freak out that occurred here when Baker announced his transfer. It opened up a roster spot for someone better. He was a fine player but not up to the standard at Kentucky—at least next year anyway. He may have reached that point his junior or senior year. I’d rather take the gamble on Juzang.

You have a good point with Baker, I liked him a lot and really thought he would get much better. His defense did but his shot abandoned him. If he had shot that high thirties 3 point shooting late in the season and tournament he could have been the shooter we needed next year.

Regardless of how fast Allen heals, he won’t be a contributor till his sophomore yr anyways, because there won’t be enough mins if jj does commit and reclassify. I think Allen will be damn good, but it will take him a while to heal as well as being a contributor to the college game

Just confirmed with somone close to the situation: Johnny is only announcing his intent to reclassify today and a short list of schools. There is a strong beleif that he will announce his decision shortly after the visit Monday.

I cannot confirm or deny whether he gave the coaches a verbal or not.

Him just announcing his reclass. He may take the visits as a formality. Pretty sure that 730 EST
So you are saying he has firmly committed to Kentucky, but will visit other schools? That sounds dishonest and not in keeping with what I read about this kid and his family. If he is taking other visits I'm pretty sure he isn't a firm commit to Kentucky - a strong lean at best.

Hard to get going when you're only getting foul minutes. Interestingly enough, Baker started to get going in early March. All his shooting numbers rose, and his 3pointer was back on track.

He was one of those guys that was just never going to get the minutes. Maybe.. MAYBE in his senior year...But it's a catch 22. Baker never got minutes to get better, and if he never gets better, he won't get minutes.

You can't convince me he played any worse than Hagans did in Feb/March. And a bad shooting slump doesn't count.
