If we land all three to go with Maxey, Whitney and Brooks Id say we jump Puke for the #1 class.

Sounds like Hampton may be headed to Memphis. Just reading between the lines. May be a little to many guards at UK. Who knows Cal could pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Well, Blackshear isn't included, he's a transfer.

But absolutely, if Juzang and Hampton came here, that would give Kentucky the #1 class. They were ahead of Duke before they got a top10 and top40 guy.. which is roughly where those two would rank.

Now.. would ESPN would acknowledge it and roll out the red carpet for us.. doubtful.

From Corey Evans today:

Hampton is someone that wouldn’t mind having the ball in his hands. Duke has Tre Jones returning and just landed Cassius Stanley on Monday. Furthermore, they haven’t really recruited Hampton a whole lot so their chances with him are nearly non-existent.

Kentucky can offer the one-and-done path and bright lights, but with a fairly crowded backcourt returning and also enrolling, the Wildcats might be on the outside looking in, though John Calipari is expected in to see him today. Memphis stands in a great spot with Hampton, but the idea of playing for a legendary coach in Bill Self, the need for a star talent that he represents, and a fairly wide-open backcourt assuming that Quentin Grimes does not return, and it is looking good for KU.

I'd rather have Juzang, McDaniel, and Blackshear.

Hampton is incredible, but I am fine with a second year from Hagans/IQ.

I still can't see how Hampton fits that DOESN'T piss off another player. Juzang kinda fills a need (although I think Allen and IQ could be fine from the 2).. Juzang could also roll over to the 3. There's some wiggle room there.

But I can't see Hagans or IQ being thrilled with Hampton coming in to take 25 of the 80 guard minutes. Getting Hampton this year might cause a transfer..

It's obviously not all or nothing.. but I'd like Cal to spend his efforts on Juzang and Blackshear.

I don’t care how highly ranked a recruit is, if he ain’t ready to come in and beat someone out for more minutes, he ain’t worth having. Cal doesn’t promise or give minutes to anyone who doesn’t earn them. So if playing time is a concern, they don’t need to be here.

You are the Caneintally of KU. KU is not landing him and furthermore, the only thing legendary about Self are his abilities to lose in the first weekend of the tournament and covering up the organized crime his players are involved in.

Dam you're running out of players to predict to KU. Juzang's off the board along with Hurt. You guys better start looking at Juco players because if you miss on Hampton which I think you will that's a ton of misses this year and who else are you all even recruiting for 2019?

I just don't see Hampton here under any scenario. If he stays 2020, I'd bet on Duke. If he moves to 2019, KU or Memphis seem like the best options based on current rosters.

If he stays in 2020, he would be old enough and removed enough from his graduating class to be able to put his name into the NBA draft straight from high school.

Hampton ain't coming here unless he stays in 2020 which he ain't . Now Mcdaniels or blackshear and Juzang is a different story . We will get Juzang and one of those 2 bigs IMO.

Would be great to get him, but I can't see it happening.

If he wants to come here, however, it doesn't matter who else is here, that guy starts and gets as many minutes as he can handle. He's a stud.
