It's amazing how many bigs Cal has missed on this season.It's really hard to understand.
Is it ? We’re in the era of pay for play
Maybe he’s thinking Duke has a weak roster. We are pretty stacked at the three and four. I would love to have him but he seems like he could be possibly slow and a defensive liability.
Certainly like his offense but sure looks like a kid who would benefit playing zone at Dook.
Cal is a dirtbag used car salesman he’ll do anything to win they say except apparently everyone’s getting top 5 kids but him
I hope we get as many Top players as we can. That's being said I was trying to imagine Hurt playing D for us and I just couldn't see it. Seems like he would be a liability. Not trying to be sour just because it sounds like he will go elsewhere. There are just other players I would rather have. Would have been happy to get him, but I would much rather have Dante, McDaniels, grad transfer or maybe even another reclass. He has to be pretty good where he is ranked, but I have lost some of my enthusiasm for him watching the all-star games. Poor mans Wiltjer?

Picking up that transfer from Bucknell makes the blow much softer. All UK needs now is one more big body who can run and chew gum for the most part

We need McDaniels I would even maybe consider getting the bagman involved as he is a season changing talent
Why would he come to UK where there are 4-5 other guys similar when Duke desperately needs a player like him?
It hasn’t helped Duke get a title and they are paying players left and right.

I’ll tell you the reason. Other programs are paying for players. Cal can’t get involved or he will be blackballed from coaching and he knows it. So there’s nothing he can do but take the best of the rest

Hurt will be a good player wherever he goes. Just shared that word around here is he's going to Duke. Only personal feeling I had was during McDonald's week when he couldn't even remember who UK was playing during his visit. The official visits were going to be key, and he went to Duke for a game against UVA.
Seeing him at the Hoop Summit it was interesting. He showed his offensive skill, but he also showed why Cal is hesitant with players like him. World team got buckets on him at will. Whomever he guarded, they gave ball to and that guy scored. We've seen how that works with Cal/UK. Duke....he'll fit in fine. Ryan Kelly like with more mobility.

I think what happened was Cal offered and recruited Hurt and Hurt wasn’t giving our staff signs that he would come to UK. So Cal offered that grad transfer (Sestina? Sp?) and said something like “whoever accepts first we’ll take ya.” Sestina (sp) accepted and now hurt is going elsewhere.
If there wasn’t so much scandal at KU right now with the FBI that would be my guess. But since there is I think he’s going to Duke.
And I think UK got the better deal. Hurt is very talented, but Sestina will provide us with more than talent and is the better 1 year option

What I don't like or get is this visit has been set for at least a week or so. Everything I heard said UK and KU were visiting today, but his father says they just can't do all 4 today. So Dook and UNC came in also? Just weird since I only heard about the two visits, but instead the other two without visits came in? Strange and kind of BS.
He's been a verbal to Duke for a couple weeks now. He isn't what we need.
But Nobodyputsbabyinthecorner said he was coming to KU along with Hampton LOL. Looks like KU was left out in the cold with UK. Can't like their chances now.
It’s been obvious it’s Duke for weeks. Most of this board is mentally handicapped or something and can’t read the writing on the wall.
Don’t believe the kid is quick enough to play D in Cal’s system. He probably wants to go to a place where they put more points on the board. He’s a better fit for Duke’s system. Wish he was going somewhere else. I may be totally wrong but that’s just based of what I’ve seen of him.

Didnt see you putting up any money kiddo. Kinda went silent on the front when news popped of the visit. The visit is irrelevant anyway. You said that Cal wasnt recruiting him anymore and that was obviously not true.
I think it is funny that everyone seems to be waiting for Cal to pay for a player. Maybe he'll get tired of not getting the top ones and try it? Yeah right. Cal isn't falling for that. He does his best with the best he can get. And I must say, it's pretty good. But you know that everyone else is just waiting for Cal to mess up. He know better and for that reason I am so grateful he is here.

Our compliance office won't let him mess up to be honest with you. I just hope that one day all these schools that are cheating have what's coming to them!
