Indiana Mr. Basketball and McDonalds All-American from nearby Indianapolis and willing to leave the state for college. Reminds me so much of the great Mike Flynn from Jeffersonville.

You mean the guy who was rolling around on the court like his foot was chopped off only to return with big shots like nothing happened? I hate twits like that.

I believe it was James Blackmon that was from Jeffersonville. If memory serves, Flynn was from Fort Wayne.

Wrong. Flynn was from Jeffersonville. Blackmon was from Marion.

Jim Master was from Fort Wayne, so that might be who you're confusing Flynn with. Those skilled Indiana guards used to be our backcourt bread and butter back in those days. We had a LOT of em.

Also looked like a fool with his man bun last year. UK didn't recruit him but Coach Clappy did and he said no. That's the kind of kid though that IU would have kept home in the past.

Probably read where the "man-bun" is causing premature baldness in young men. Looked just plain stupid to begin with.

He clearly rolled his ankle and that hurts badly. You dont know how bad it is for a while. He didn't stay down very long.

You know the worst thing about the NCAA?

We always have the stuff: why didn’t Cal or Kentucky recruit so and so?

You can’t recruit everybody, lol

The only similarity are that they are both white. Hero is likely to be a 1st round pick after one year. Guy will probably go undrafted after 4 years.

Meh. The main difference between the two is size. With Herro 6'5", and Guy no more than 6'2", there's a significant size difference.

But their game and style of play really is damn similar. That was not that bad of a comparison by that guy. I've certainly seen worse.

Then why don't we just do that?

Boy, coaches are dumb.
Some guys used to pretty much try that before scholarship restrictions.

When Johnny Majors took the Pitt football coaching job in 1973, he signed 73 players in his first recruiting class. It was basically sign anyone willing to come who might be any good, then sift through for the best of them. And it worked, because that was the senior class that won a national championship for Pitt in 76.
