I still hate our uniforms

No matter what we wear I want us to win, but how, as the gold standard in college basketball do we continue to keep these terrible uniforms. Literally every other program has better threads than we do.

Let's go simple, clean. Also, it's embarrassing to share a logo with Houston. I'm all for permanently adopting the alternate wildcat logo over what we have.

Stay strong, you are exactly right. Atrocious. Gold standards should be clean and classic.

We have far from the worst uniforms in basketball. And honestly, when the ball tips, I don’t even pay attention to either teams uniforms.

I'm not fond of them but this is a beginning of the season topic not a Sweet 16 topic. We can start this up again in October.

I was a student at UK when we wore denim. Uniforms have come a long way since then. We had a contract with Converse then. Now, we are one of the top Nike schools. We deserve better.

Maybe I'm old but I don't care if they're made of burlap as long as they're blue and white. There's only so much you can do with shorts and a tank top.

I'll never understand all the uniform hate. As mentioned, the denim were the only uniforms I've ever thought were terrible. I know I'll be in the minority, but I loved the icicle uniforms, I'd like to see us wear them again, maybe a throwback look.

Unpopular opinion here:

Loved the denim uniforms.

Also loved the 97 uniforms with the subtle cross hatch.

Checkerboards were ok when we first rolled them out, what, 6 years ago?

Ready for a new design that’s based on classic styling.

The cookie cutter stuff is what I hate as well. That might be okay for smaller schools, but I feel like Kentucky and others should always have something unique to them.

My Kentucky wife and I hate them too. She absolutely despises the checkerboards on the basketball and football uniforms which she deems a Tennessee trademark, and she does not like anything Tennessee.

Some of the schools with the best traditions in sports have hardly ever changed anything about theirs. Schools like Alabama and Penn State in football have never changed much because people know who they are, they don't worry about style or gimmicks. I personally don't mind our current ones, when we win we look good.

WGAF. They could wear wife beaters with a K written in marker on the front and it wouldn’t affect my fandom. No offense OP
