Alabama should be the perfect fit. The football program has been hiding payments to recruits for years, I’m sure they could apply that same technique to basketball.

No way. The guy would pose a risk to that football team. NOBODY does that.

Though. . . I thought the same about Auburn and they hired that lying cheating *** hat Pearl.

Id be happy having him back on the schedule as our whipping boy. Louisville has more basketball resources than Alabama and he couldnt hold a candle to us. Dont see Alabama steering money away from Saban any time soon. Itd be a compelling hire for sure.

So i mean he’s just allowed to coach again despite cheating/ trying to pay a player and being an accomplice in a prostitution ring for underage recruits and players?

Honestly curious if there’s any type of ramifications?

Heck Self at Kansas has been doing that for years.

I don’t see any way Saban and the football program allow him to come and keep the NCAA snooping around. They want no part of having them on campus on a weekly basis which is exactly what would happen to the first program that hired Rick.

Why would ANYBODY hire him. It’s possible if not likely he’ll receive a Show Cause. And the UL suit is still pending, and the NCAA is not finished with Louisville.
I get it you could argue separation of the Louisville thing but still, if I were an AD the whole collective issues would give me pause.

Even though Ricky may not know anything he can't be hired until the FBI case is completely over.

The risk of anything else coming out after the hire is way too risky for any school.

Even if he’s a serious candidate for the job, I can’t see his ego going to a football school. Dude fought tooth and nail to keep a professional NBA franchise from coming to Louisville so he can be the big dog in town

Great point...I'd imagine there would be a few years of "show cause" attached to Rick.

I don’t see how he doesn’t have a show cause from the NCAA yet. He’s not coaching again in college for a while.

He could be dangerous there. Bama has much higher class of prostitutes than what UL can afford.

Penalties to the coach would not carry over once hired. He may get a show cause, but it will not matter.

It might be wrong, but I would like to see Kansas fire Bill Self and Rick Pitino take his place. Continue to run that dumpster fire into the ground. [smoke]

No one is likely to hire him until the fallout from the FBI investigation settles, and even then he's likely to be hit with a lengthy show cause, if not outright coaching ban. Besides, Ricky is looking into assembling the greatest coaching staff the Greek Basketball League has ever had when he brings in Wiretap Will, The Rug Doctor and Sean Miller as his assistants. His first staff at UK with Tubby, Donovan, and Willard will look like a junior high staff compared to that.
