Yeah, you don't leave UK to go to UCLA. Plus the job has been available for Cal to go there already while he's been at UK. I don't believe that for a second.

So the NBA is no longer coming after him it's other college teams. Not even good college teams at that. And these idiots actually believe it's going to be successful? That's about like printing rumors that Lebron is leaving the Lakers to go play in the G league.

If Kentucky is the Gold Standard, he is stepping down for the money. Does that add up to you ? I don't see it.

I'm thinking this maybe the one that gets him to leave. He has done all he can here and now seems to be just spinning his wheels. With the new recruiting rules and no more one and dones on the horizon maybe he sees this as an opportunity for UK and himsrlf to start fresh. But lord I hope not. Plus he would pull in all the west coast talent.

UCLA? You think UCL-bleeping-A is the one that gets him to leave? My god.

This is how you play the game to get a raise....Cal (and his agent) are very good at it. I’m sure this situation will result in Cal getting some sort of raise. Just think about it what is Cal’s favorite part of being the UK Coach?? Attention! (And also ending generational poverty) At UCLA you will ALWAYS be behind the Lakers and the Dodgers. And actual game attendance is very poor. He wouldn’t get that attention that he craves.

That doesn't work either. I can't see him going to another college for the money. Maybe Texas since they have so many billionaires but not UCLA. With the SEC money we are now getting we can easily match anything they can throw out there. And that's just base salary. How much is it worth to sponsorship deals to be the coach of Kentucky. I'm not sure but I do know that not most NBA teams can cover that. Right now Cal is one of the 2 biggest coaching names in the entire sport of basketball. He goes anywhere else he won't even be on the top 10 list. He would literally lose more money than the initial contract from UCLA would be worth compared to his existing one. The story is trash. The only reason Cal would leave is if he's being pushed out which there is no reason to believe that either.

Cal would bring excitement to that school just on name alone just like he did here. Why not UCLA, the fans seem to have low expectations so not alot of pressure and I believe he could win them a championship starting with that weak *** conference.

I expect Cal to secure a healthy raise from UK despite whatever we do in the tourney here.

So why would KSR run such a story. All they are doing is contributing to the ignorance that rises it's head every year when the NCAA tournament starts. Just ignore this stuff and report on the team and preparations for the Big Dance. Is Rex Chapman working for KSR now. What the heck is this?

He's got a 30 million buy out. If he takes another job.
If you mean to note that he would be walking away from that 30 mill buyout, good point. Coaches do not receive buyout clause monies when they voluntarily resign / leave for other employment.

It should also be noted that Calipari, as a good coach, should consider the value of that 30M buyout clause to be zero, as it would only be useful to him should UK want to replace him. He performs well enough to prevent that.

Very disconcerting to see KSR publishing this during the biggest week of the bb season regardless of whether this true or not. What is true is that the UK bb team has a big game tomorrow night and the players need to be getting prepped and ready to play without PJW. This is truth.
