When will the people on the floor (owners, players) learn to let security handle issues and stop interacting with fans? Should be a lot of fallout over this one.

I don't like the way he acts. Great player, disturbed person. Acts like Richard Cephalus at his pressers too.

Assuming he wasn’t playing that game with that crap on his legs. I’m not so sure that that’s not staged to be honest.

I don't know if it is true, but one of the tweets said the fans said something about him icing his knees because he was on them all of the time.
If that’s true then Westbrook could probably get by saying whatever he wanted to say...

except THAT.

Btw I’m ready for the morality knights of modern day to come on out and call for his job because he threatened to “F up” a woman. Consistency would be nice. I’ll check Twitter!
he meant that in a sexually way, not violent way....

He’s a *****. I’d bet dollars to doughnuts he couldn’t whip my sister. Have y’all ever seen a badass that wears women’s clothes? Me either. He knows security will be there to intervene so he talks **** like Connor McGregor. The very definition of punk *****.

I've never understood the duality of this and I don't think I ever will. You are allowed to say anything you want to player and they just have to take it? Freaking cowards in the stands would never say anything to these guys on the streets ever. Anybody see the little kid punch Westbrook a week or two ago? A 10 year old who is rich enough to sit on the court and just thinks he can punch a player he doesn't like? What kind of spoiled piece of trash will that kid grow up to be? Westbrook should be allowed to beat the **** out of the kid and parents. By the way I'm not a Russ fan at all. I think he is a selfish player with a broke *** j, who I'd never want on my team, but that doesn't mean you can treat him bad. Imagine walking into Apple or Amazon and finding the CEO, CFO, VP, etc... and being like suck a dick ******. Go to f'ing hell you no good piece of sh** MF'er. I mean you couldn't even get through security to even start to say those things to other people at different jobs.

Situation reminds of other cowards I hate. Big game hunters. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a video of somebody who'd never ever think to go hunt a tiger or lion in the wild but they pay 100k to have someone else injure the animal then bait it out with a carcass and kill it like they're some kind of hero. Well every so often those videos go wrong and the hunter gets mauled to death and I couldn't love something more. I only wish athletes or celebrities or anyone that gets hassled by idiots could just knock the people out.

Did the kid punch him...or touch him? Poor little russell...so weird hes the only one in the league. He only talks bc he knows hes the celebrity that's protected. His fragile feelings. I guess everyone should take ashley Judd advice and be nice during free throws too...someone might get upset

He can afford therapy.

There's your hero Conor Mac dressing just like Russ and all other young affluent people do now a days. There's Bones Jones literally the pound for pound the baddest dude on the planet making a pretty kissy face for the cameras and posed up like a woman. You think he's "punk *****" as you put it. Russ' is a street kid from freaking Compton if you don't think he'd absolutely whip people you don't know up from down.

Does it matter what the kid did? And he without question shoved him, punched him, whatever you want to call it. He didn't lovingly tap him and ask for an autograph. Watch the kid's reaction he knows he messed up. Unbelievable that you'd even try to defend that.

he's not the only one. This is just a Westbrook specific thread. Do you want me to pull up videos of Durant, Cousins, Green, Wall, Booker, AD, Kyrie, Lebron, literally every player in the league? I mean you are acting like someone boo'ing and or cheering for free chic fila is some how the same as calling someone every name in the book? That doesn't even make sense, also I'm only here to say why is it ok for the guy in the front row to say to Westbrook you got that ice on your knees from sucking all those dicks and Westbrook can't say I'm going to kick your ***? It's astounding the first sentiment isn't more offensive to you. What you think the guy in the front row can't afford therapy?

I think he talks because he's a bit of an ahole and I doubt a fan in the stands is someone he is afraid of. He is 6'3" with a 7 foot wingspan, 200 pounds and is below 5% body fat. He took a knee from Andre Roberson and suffered a facial fracture during a game. He was advised to take 21 days off, he missed 1 game.

I think he is an *** and I wouldn't want my child to act like Russell. But, the reason he talks is because he knows he can back it up. If I'm going to call someone an *** and an ahole I should also tell a few of the positive things he does. He has given millions to the Russell Westbrook Why Not Foundation. He has served Thanks Giving and Christmas dinners to the poor. He made the largest donation ever by a basketball player to UCLA, I think K Love later matched the donation.

I still think he is an ***, but he has helped more people than I have.

Traditionally yes, players play for an organization, they have road games, and it’s always been hostile that’s what makes sports great and fun. Players have always used the hate for the court, not retaliated like they’re so fragile they can’t handle a hater. It’s pathetic.

They’re paid well in advance for all of this kind of stuff. They know ahead of time part of it is hecklers.

The fans can say whatever they want as long as it doesn’t break the law, as in threats of harm. Westbrook should have been arrested for threatening to beat a woman’s ***, the fan was just being a fan telling him to ice his knees. He didn’t do anything wrong.

We see this totally different. Westbrook engaging fans shows how petty he is. Threatening to beat up a woman in the stands shows how petty he is. You can act like the kid committed a serious crime all you want, he simply reached out and touched him. He’s a f’n kid. They do stupid things. Westbrook actually handled that one ok imo.

Speaking of rich? You’re attacking a little kid.

NBA players are rich, they are powerful, they have lots of influence, and they aren’t victims. I know they want it all and have ego’s today out of this world, but that’s not how it works. If they engage a fan for being a fan, they should be punished.

Been to plenty of nba games and some fans especially the ones who have money who sit close do occasionally say stupid things that shouldn’t fly. Whether Westbrook thought getting on his knees referred to him giving oral or picking cotton he should of went to security and explained and have them removed. I do believe the guy or his wife said that to him. Russ was wrong though he gets paid millions he should understand this is part of the business and opposing fans. Go to security and ask for them to be removed if they are that much of an issue.

You'll have to show me where I attacked a little kid? If by recounting what the child did is attacking the kid or saying that Russ or anyone else deserves retribution for constant bs they deal with is attacking a kid I must be cloudy on a what an attack is now a days.

The amount of money you're paid isn't the gauge for nasty someone can be to you. I've never once said you shouldn't heckle opposing players. I sat front row behind the Kansas band and in-between the Kansas bench in 2014 in Indy when we laid the wood to them. I got pretty hammered that night and was yelling at the band people and the KU players. Never once was there any kind of vitriol that wasn't in jest. The KU players were laughing, the band was laughing, and I was laughing. I was giving them grief about how ugly their Adidas gear was, Self rug, nothing other worldly or nasty. They knew I was a UK fan and was having fun. Nothing wrong with that.

If I said hey Cliff Alexander your mother is a *****, hey Frank Mason get on your knees and suck this big blue dick, I'd expect to have them come over get in my face and I'd deserve it.

If you would’ve said that about Cliff Alexander his dad woulda heard you and he woulda came after you lol. I was about 12 rows up right behind the Kansas section sitting next to Sherron Collins and Scott Pollard was in front of me. Alexander’s dad was about 4 rows in front of me, drunk as hell and he caused quite the commotion and almost was kicked out after Cliff picked up an early 2nd foul. Very interesting game, the KU parents were a bit annoyed with me, and one of player’s mother’s jumped down my throat when I said “****” just one time. But I wasn’t in my rightful seat so I wasn’t saying anything disrespectful, just rooting on our guys really hard and reacting animatedly to the beatdown that was occuring. I even apologized for cursing and ended up talking with her and one of the other player’s mom. Represented our fan base well as I always do.

“How it started was, a young man and his wife in the stands told me ‘to get down on my knees like you used to,’” Westbrook said in a statement after the game. “To me, that’s just completely disrespectful, to me, I think it’s racial, and I think it’s inappropriate in the sense that there’s no protection for the players… I just think there’s gotta be something done, there’s gotta be some consequences for those type of people that come to the game just to say and do whatever they want to say.”

I live in Louisville but have been 20 or so Pacers games over the last 5-6 years and Scot Pollard is almost always there. He must live in Indy. I've run into him in the Legends lounge or whatever they call it now where you can go get drinks and food court-side. He's a funny dude, we pounded some brews and talked about Survivor and UK/KU rivalry. That 2014 night was epic. The talent that was at the Conrad's hotel bar that night. What a night. Go cats haha.
