My gosh I miss me some Tyler Ulis! This team needs a smart, tough floor general in the worst way...

It's too bad Ulis was wasted on one of the worst Kentucky teams. Man if he had a true post player and not ho-hum poythress as our experience..

Hero needs the ball at the end of the shot clock..He can drive and shoot over defenders or can make a jumper if they stop the drive..Hagans cant.

Serious question - is Hagans the worst point guard not named Ryan Harrow under Cal at UK?

EJ and Nick have so many negative plays it’s unreal. I think we’re better off playing PJ at the 5 and only having them substitute for PJ when he needs it.

Not bad considering we were without PJ for the last 12 minutes. Ole Miss is being permitted to put their hands all over our guards and impede their progress but we don't seem to get the same luxury.
That’s the difference. We can’t defend or we will foul out. It’s hard to start offense when you’re constantly being cut off with a forearm and hands all over you

8 points? That’s quite a trick, considering we only shot 5 free throws.

Ole Miss shot 13, but then we are the jump shooting team and they always drive it. Oh wait...
We missed the front end of at least 2 1 and 1's.

Some of these guys whine , whine, whine. I don't get why they watch. They seem to be miserable all the time.
Hang on, I wasn't whining, I felt like we left points at the free throw line. It's a consistent problem.

That isn't whining, it's the truth.

I know they draft on potential, but he hasn't shown NBA potential and guys his size are a dime a dozen.

If he puts the work in over the summer, he could be great next year.

If we can get quickly and Herro back too....yikes.
NBA PGs especially need to be able to hit open shots. Almost every starting quality PG in the league is a respectable shooter and the few that aren’t have very elite skills to make up for it (Rondo’s vision, Westbrook’s athleticism).

Hagans seemed to have that early in the year with his knack for getting steals but that has totally disappeared lately. His on ball defense has left a lot to be desired too. He absolutely should come back but I’m not holding my breath that he will.

It would be great if we could start every game at the 10 minute mark of the first half and maybe we would be ready to play. I swear it looks like we do our game prep during the game and that is why it takes us so long to get going. We started playing better toward the end of the half. I'm afraid a slow start will likely contribute to us going home early.

Keep it positive. PJ sat most of the half. With RT out we are really challenged to have any balance st all. Too many options to double PJ and drivers. Let’s hope we can gut one out on the road.
