The numbers I showed point out that the whistle was not ours. I would venture to say that is the most lopsided foul differential for a road team in SEC play all season.
Radio announcers even mentioned it in the first eight minutes (5 fouls on UT to one on UK in the first eight minutes as I drove home from golf). You guys are delusional. Got crushed despite getting six fewer fouls and attempting 15 more FT’s.

The first half was in favor of Tenn. our entire front line was in serious foul trouble while Tenn’s best players were sitting pretty... and we just couldn’t recover

The problem with the fouls is all of our fouls were on our big guys. Schofield and Williams didn't reach an issue with their fouls racking up until 5 minutes to go in the game. We had to play guys with 3 fouls EACH in the first half in EJ and Richards. Most teams dont play a guy in the first half who has 2 fouls. EJ, Richards and Washington, our only 3 reamining bigs all had 2 fouls with 10 to go in the first half. What are we supposed to do, play 5 guards? No, we keep playing EJ and Richard's and ask them to play conservative and not get fouls. They proceed to BOTH get their 3rd fouls. It took the wind out of our sales. No ones blaming anyone or calling a conspiracy. Facts are we only have 3 healthy big men and they played a majority of the game scared to play otherwise theyd foul out. Meanwhile Williams and Schofield were going buck wild inside because they didnt have that burden. Alexander got into foul trouble but hes trash AND not your only big man. Its not the number of fouls, its who had those fouls.
And this wasn't the same thing that happened to UT at UK. UT just wasnt good enough at UK. UK was down our starting big man AND battled foul trouble. We came in only having 3 of 4 wheels on the car and then those 3 remaining tires got flats. This was a "just survive" game until Travis and gets back. UT and their players can go home and write in their diaries about it as much as they want to make themselves feel better, but if you or any of your fanbase/team thinks beating a battered UK team on your homecourt battling low post foul trouble should give you confidence come SEC tournament time, you're going to be disappointed.

If you were realistic you could see this coming from a mile away. Reid Travis is the only physical interior player we have and he was sitting today. That means we had to rely on Richards and Montgomery and that's a formula for disaster. Being short RT meant Tenn. could focus on PJ and get him off his game. We helped make it easier by not hitting the broad side of a barn.
The Arkansas game should have been a warning that this team wasn't ready to go on the road and win at Tenn.
Here's another fact, without RT we could be looking at another beat down at Ole Miss. Not being negative, just the truth. This UK team has a very slim margin for error. Without RT and Herro's shot being so unreliable that margin is even less.

There is no denying that Tennessee is a good team. But, I believe they will just add to the rhetoric about the SEC when they drop out of the tournament early.
They were exposed in Lexington 2 weeks ago and I think they will carry that insecurity into a close NCAA game. I do like Barnes getting some redemption, but make no mistake about it...this is a perfect storm, generational Volunteer team like Arkansas in the mid-90s and Florida ten years later. Those teams grabbed the brass ring when they had their opportunity. Will UT do the same? I don’t think they are nowhere near as good as those last championship teams that came out of our conference.

Maybe the zebras will let you shoot three times more FT’s instead of two times as many like today. That may keep it interesting.
Tennessee was the better team today. Hurts to say, but missing Travis, road game, some smack talk before then not shooting anywhere and seeming to forget how to pass.....

Y’all have a good team, but not nearly as good as you think. UT has been a thorn In Kentucky’s side for years whether we’re good or bad. But you don’t have to worry about us being bad anymore. We have every bit as good a coach as you do. I think he’s proven that, and we won’t take a back seat to you or anybody else.
