How does Keion Brooks pick IU now?

I know Anthony Edwards got to see us thump MSU and then somehow picked UGA after Crean threw the whole team under the bus, so never say never.

But I would really question what's going on upstairs if Brooks picks IU now. I can't think of a better game to go to as a recruit. Rupp was actually rocking the whole game and we knock off #1 in convincing fashion.

He will absolutely not experience anything like this at IU next year.

I can’t imagine he would go to IU at this point. MSU would be the main competition. He is visiting Sparty tomorrow, but I imagine the atmosphere for MSU vs Ohio State, 1pm, won’t quite be the same as it was tonight.

Personally, I think it’s between us and the cheats. I don’t Indiana stands a chance with him since they have sucked lately

Alford may have a better pitch when he is their coach next year. Miller is their BCG. I think with Alford available they pull the plug and declare Miller time to be over.

IU has a crazy home court atmosphere too. If all he cares about is the fans it might be a question. If he wants to play for a HOF coach with great players everyday and get developed into his best version it's a no-brainer.

MSU will have a great atmosphere but I dont think it will compare with hammering the #1 team. You set a high bar

If MSU has an edge it may be in distance from home for parent visits to games.

However, I cant kick if he picks UK .

I said the exact same thing about Wiseman. If these kids aren't smart enough to play for Cal forget about them.

He should come to UK. But, probably chooses Mich St at this point.

Izzo will sell him hard on being “the guy” at a top program rather than just “a guy” at UK.

If Cal pulls Brooks away from IU/MSU I would be crazy impressed.

Actually, Izzo has a number of players at the same position and as Brian Snow posted , the Brooks people are concerned over roster construction at MSU.

Agree and I think we do . I would be surprised to see our recruiting class end up as Whitney Allen Maxey Mcdaniels Brooks and rounded out with either Todd or Hurt .

that would field a hell of a team

PG - Maxey/Quickley
SG - Herro / Baker ( if Herro is gone then Whitney is the starting SG)
SF -Whitney/ Allen
PF- Mcdaniels / Brooks
C- EJ / Richards/ Todd or Hurt

Is he visiting anywhere before decision next week?

Honestly if he isn't and doesn't pick us Cal should just start recruiting like one or two McDs hard every and get all 4 stars to fill out class. Can only take so much of this drama...

His player development is underrated and I think he'd thrive with upperclassmen anyway. Ball is headed that way.

Jump the curve if he is gonna hang here for a while.
