It has nothing to do with race, obviously. That's a dumb/lazy/sportswriter take. Tyler Ulis was the most popular player here in the last decade, probably. Hell, I did an unofficial "Favorite Tyler" twitter poll and Ulis kicked Herro's ***. If UK fans were driven by racism, Dominique Hawkins wouldn't have been more popular than Derek Willis. The reason has been said, but it's because Herro plays harder and gets more out of his (more limited) ability. This is pretty much borne out by the fact that he plays more minutes than KJ, even though he's not a top 10 pick, and Johnson is. He also has more steals and blocks (!) -- but fewer fouls -- than KJ.
I bet the fire at the Red Bar was probably accelerated by all that cash they have lying around. That's what they get for not accepting credit cards, frankly.
As much as I dislike Duke and the "OMG WE'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE ZION!!!" narrative, I did think this was pretty funny since it involves Louisville: "Duke's comeback was the largest ever in the final 10 minutes of the game in a regulation win."
