It's actually got nothing to do with me. It's 'they so sensitive'. And they is you people ---> you know, everyone *except* me, and believe me, they so sensitive.

My bad it is in fact "they" so sensitive.

You're one of those guys that people say "he thinks he tough" because of your name and avatar but, for every 100 dudes trying to be tough using a name and avatar like that, I feel like you're the 1% that REALLY IS tough.

Not in a way where I'm scared, but definitely want you to have my back for sure.

I am starting to believe Kansas is in some sort of transition. I mean man check it out, you seem ok for real. Level with me..

Kansas has had some really shady things go down. I think you could at least agree that some of it definitely doesn't smell right. Lots of incoming issues, personnel issues, coaching issues, the Adidas scandal ect. Self is about to lose the Big12 which is really the only thing he was hanging his hat on. Looking at your incoming class it doesn't look like theres any way you win it next year. The Adidas scandal might hit him harder in the end.

Just seems like now that recruiting is taking a hit, Self might be close to being on his way out. maybe not this year or next, but I honestly dont see him there in 3 years. You hear anything like that from the KU side? It's just an observation from watching.

Trust me. Fans are tired of all the off the court issues, but support Self. He needs to clean house on the assistant side (except Norm Roberts) and bring in some guys who can recruit.

Oh dont get me wrong, you probably can't replace Self. I would want to retain him if I were a Kansas fan.

But here's to hoping my hunch is right and Babyputsselfincorner

Definitely a 1%er. Never lost a fight that I won. In the streets the call me hammergrenade fists. First I lay down the hammer, then the boom. When they hear my massive land hammers clacking against the striations of my quadzillas charging after then, they run for miles. Why you ask? Other than the massive beat down from the hammergrenade fists forthcoming, because they so sensitive.

I carry no sensitive.

I heard that LaGerald Facekick Vick’s brothers LaJerome & LaTerrence along with sisters LaEbony & LaDiamond required Facekick’s expertise immediately.

I wouldn't blame them for supporting Self. He hasn't been at the top in a while but he's always relevant. And making coaching hires is the most dangerous thing for any program. Hire a Billy G and you've set yourself back a few years. Follow that up with another bad or mediocre hire and now people stop thinking of you as an elite program. Make another bad hire and now you're Indiana and you've been forgotten for two decades and the big recruits weren't even alive when you were big.

And it's not obvious who the next K/Cal/Self/Williams/Izzo are right now.

Even KU fans see this leave of absence as just plain weird. If it wasn't Ku maybe, but have we ever seen this before with a major player for a major school? I can't think of any and that's with players parents dying during the season and all kinds of horrible stuff. KU is smoke and mirrors and Self is a world class liar. This program looks to be on the verge of imploding.

Doesn't Vick have a 4 year old daughter? (Something like that?)

I have zero respect for Kansas basketball in general, but I hope the young man's family will be alright. In my prayers.

I predict Self takes a ****** NBA job this summer!
I don't think he has any desire for the NBA. I could be wrong but he seems like a life long college coach unless they give him a show cause. Even then he would probably become an analyst till time is up and can come back. jmo

Posts like these are just dumb. He's a senior and will be gone before any NCAA issues have any effect, so it seems obvious it's not that. Instead it plainly appears to be personal issues specific to him and/or his family.

It is a huge loss for Kansas, though, as he was their senior leader averaging around 15 ppg. Losing both Vick and Azubuike has pretty much torpedoed KU's whole season.
They're toast...

Hey I never want to see a kids career suffer because of a true family issue and if that’s the case I hope everything turns out ok for then young man . Given the Jailhawks past history with the stuff going on with the players and all the stuff they keep sweeping under the rug it just makes you wonder if Vick has run afowl with the law again .

Serious question, who replaces Doke, DLawson, Vick, Grimes and SDS? Your commitment list doesn’t look very strong. Grad transfers?

Two Kansas fans in my office.. neither believe this is a family issue, and both think Vick has played his last game for Kansas.

Even Calipari would have a tough time replacing Vick, SDS, Udoka, Lawson.. and he's actually a good recruiter. Not a bright future for Kansas.

There's also the problem that now guys like Grimes and Dotson will start getting more minutes. With the turmoil at Kansas they will take this opportunity to show out for the NBA scouts and attempt to get drafted.

The Rug Doctor is the leader , he was caught on tape trying to buy a couple of real guys , why should he be saved and the assistant coach’s dumped ?

I don’t get it. Why does Self still get decent talent? He isn’t Cal if K, but has landed some top recruits. Why would any kid want to go there? It is literally a dumpster fire. There are eligibility issues every year. There are legal issues every year. Lawrence is a ********. I have been there a few times for business and the campus sucks and the town is ****. I was kind of surprised the first time I went there how ****** it was.

Maybe these reasons are why Self and his assistants are knee deep in wire taps and fbi trials. I’m not saying this just because I hate KU. I do, but these statements have zero to do with that.

I get the attraction to places like Duke, UNC, UCLA, etc. Kansas is not like any of those.

I loathe Kansas as much as the next guy but this is patently false. Lawrence is a beautiful college town. The people are friendly, it’s 25 minutes from Kansas City, and Allen Fieldhouse is one of the architectural gems of our game. Plus KU has more history, from a foundational perspective, than any program in the sport (Naismith, Phog, Chamberlain, Rupp, Smith, Brown, Calipari, Manning, Williams, Self, etc.)

It really shouldn’t come a surprise when Duke, UNC, UK, or KU have success. These are the Blue Bloods. Those four stand above the rest. This isn’t college football where there are seven to ten Blue Bloods. In hoops you have the big four and that’s it (UCLA is about as relevant as Bill Walton these days).

Just because his opinion of Lawrence differs from yours doesn’t make it “patently false”. 2 strikingly different viewpoints but doesn’t mean anyone’s lying.
