Someone explain to me why Fullerton is DH'ing today.

our DH's have gone 0-5 in each of the last 2 games- and both are LH'ed batters...and maybe he hits lefties well?

No idea. Besides the fact he's a righty stick, but we could DH Slauter if Ammaritti is going to catch.

With all that said, I'm not a big fan of this lineup at all.

MSU's lineup: Frazier SS, Bradford CF, Renfroe RF, Rea 1B, Henderson LF, Pirtle 2B, Fullterton DH, Norris 3B, Ammirati C. RHP Graveman.

After thinking about it:

They may want to catch Slauter with Evan Mitchell. Slauter gets a big 2 run RBI last night to put us ahead and he doesn't play today with a senior pitcher on the hill. It's a little bit of a head scratcher.

Well, I'm glad they have Slaughter catching Mitchell. That definitely makes sense.

Me neither, and for two big reasons:

1) Ammirati starting. Our pitchers just seem to do much better with Slauter, not to mention he is just the overall better player.

2) Fullerton in as the DH....not really sure what the idea is behind this.

Well Ammirati has to catch 1 game today, sense it's a DH. I think it's the right call letting Slauter catch Mitchell.

I will say if he is going to catch ammo at all I like him catching graveman a lot more than catching Evan. I would DH Slauter too if be isn't catching game 1. I wouldn't be upset though if he inserts Slauter with a pitching change to get him to call the game of we do with an inexperienced pitcher

Dumb as ****. Damn you Cohen...play your best 17ing players against a Top 10 team at their place. Why put us at an immediate disadvantage?
