My FIL was the one that reported his stats. When McVay hit big time, the media was calling Marist because McVay was mostly injured in college and they wanted to get an idea of him as a player. My FIL tells them that they're mostly legit except he had to "add some yards" because McVay took a play off and my FIL gave him credit for it.
Few weeks go by and McVay calls my FIL and asks him why the media keeps asking him to call Marist and let them know when he's going to return to make up for the yardage he was given.
Talk about an odd pair but they text each other and McVay has invited FIL out a few times and old man just hasn't gone.
