I have nothing against Michigan whatsoever. If we can't win it all this year, then I've no problem if they do. They're not my preference, of course, but their winning doesn't bother me.

Now IU on the other hand. They can't lose enough to suit me. If they were to play 34 games this year, I wish they'd lose 35.

I find it hard to even hate IU these days, they haven't been to the Elite 8 since 2002...with multiple no-postseasons / NITs between now and then. Why bother? They aren't a blueblood anymore.

I don't have as mush animosity toward IU as others do. I'll be pulling for the upset to help advance UK in the rankings.

Michigan isn't close to being a blue blood, and likely won't return to this level of play for years.

I have no problem rooting for Michigan in this game, and in the tourney if (basketball god forbid) we get knocked out.

I live down the road from Ann Arbor. Quite a few bandwagon Michigan fans crawling out of the woodwork the last couple of years. Very annoying.

I hate IU, but Indiana isn’t going anywhere this year anyway. Go Hoosiers (yuck)

Kev, I know why I want the Wolverines to lose. For seeding purposes in the Dance.
Forget that. I wouldn’t root for Indiana against any team, for any reason.

Our team will get every opportunity for a high seed.
Rooting for Indiana to beat Michigan in January is beyond silly.

I’m ashamed of any of our fans that would ever root for Indiana. That’s just head scratching to me.

I hope Michigan beats those losers so badly that Indiana’s pathetic fans stop showing up.

I hope Matthews goes for 40 and takes a dump on the mid court IU logo.

This topic is a hard one but my choice is for Michigan to win, they will have ample opportunities to lose which would help our seeding because the Big Ten is pretty strong ... or so everyone says.

People saying Indiana has nothing to gain by a win are way off. Based on likely outcomes of the remainder of IU's games, they are on the wrong side of the bubble right now. But it is close. A win over Michigan would greatly increase the chances that they limp into the NCAA tournament -- which their fans would consider a triumph. I want them crying bitterly on Selection Sunday.

Yeah, they are one of those programs who always are just waiting for their chance to break through to elite status...but just cannot get there to be honest.

Steve Fisher came in and got them that title in 1989...and they had arrived as a contender. Had he not run into trouble...I'd imagine their program would be looked at quite a bit differently.

The Fab 5* got them publicity and 2 NCAA runner-up finishes...then sanctions hit them hard. They never really recovered until Beilein came in and got them back to a consistent contender.

Look at them this way...
1989 title
1992* & 1993* Runner-Ups
2013 & 2018 Runner-Ups
8 all time Final 4's

They kind of are where UConn was...and they actually capitalized on their tournament chances...and now UConn has 4 titles.

I'd have them as a program around where Syracuse is...but Cuse is way more consistent as a program with a HOF coach at the helm.
Cuse
2003 Title
1987 & 1996 Runner-Ups
6 All-time Final 4's
