...we need to get P.J. and Reid going again.

PJ came on late. Maybe I’m too high on him, but I think he could dominate games if he wanted to.

That’s the thing that bothers some people with PJ. He can play great and dominate at times when he wants to (Seton Hall). But a lot of the time he seems like he’s just a guy out there going through the motions. Might have a quick spurt of 4-6 points in a row with 4-5 rebounds, then nothing for 10 minutes.

He apparently doesn't want to. He should be THE man on this team and he's not.

This was a bad team they played tonight and Reid, PJ, and KJ couldn't stick their finger in their ear.

Guards have stepped up. Bigs have regressed.
Yeah. Here’s the thing imo, PJ has to be our best player if we’re even going to sniff the Final Four.

Reid has to be really good also.

Our guard play will keep getting better and better.

Hard to argue.

We need him desperately to bring it every single game.

It really was. 18/5 steals/4 assists for Hagans.

21 for Herro. 10 for Quickley. Too many turnovers for Herro though.

We were also 21/23 from the line, with Hagans providing about half of that.

The bigs were our strength in the first half of the year. They didn’t play well tonight and haven’t been as consistent, but I’m not worried about them in the long run. They’ve shown what they’re capable of and I can still see a lot of improvement from EJ on the way. They literally carried our team the first half the year when our guards were absolutely terrible. They’ll be fine.

I think so too. I just saw too much of PJ standing 18 feet from the basket most of the first half and I wonder why.

Spread the guards, have PJ 10-12 feet from the basket, and get him the ball and let him go to work on the poor dude trying to guard him.

If you want to see the “effort” PJ gives at some points just watch him set screens. I have seen very little on a basketball court that could be considered as useless as most of his screens.

I have always taken up for PJ and I really think he is a good player and teammate. But if it isn’t something he can flex over he isn’t giving an effort that’s acceptable. He could bang down low and score at will. Superb touch, body control, coordination, athleticism- with all of these tools, and considering he doesn’t have the excuse of being a freshman, there is no excuse for not putting this team on his back and showing them how to bury opponents. I still have hope he can be that PJ. Deciding to turn it off and on is dangerous. Sometimes it won’t start when you decide you want to take off.
