Kentucky's history is great, but I think the answer to your question is that a lot of UK fans are unreasonably low on other teams. When you have multiple posters saying things like "the Big Ten sucks and that UK would beat an All Big Ten allstar team" why would it shock you to have people show up to serve crow?
