I MIGHT start to get concerned if they get a reclass to fill some holes. And while I was wrong about 3 SF's playing together (although, I'm still curious about Duke going forward), we're talking Centers.
As it stands now, Duke is not looking anywhere close as good as the last 3 seasons: teams that had returning talent and a great mix of recruiting.

Wow... Im just F****** glad K and Duke arent known to fill out their elite classes with elite players or anything. All we have to do is pray that team usa and duke boosters forget to help them round out their team next year.
Anthony? Cole Anthony? He cut Duke weeks ago, as did about 4 or 5 other recruits. They were on Carey from the start a lot like they were with Cam and Carter.
I never mentioned conspiracy. All I said was that in response to a post, that Cal choked at the Wisconsin game was incorrect. Cal may not be the best bench coach whoever hung a whistle around their neck, but he is far from the worst, and the Wisconsin game was decided by the stripes, plain and simple. I don't believe there is a conspiracy. I do, however, think there are 2 or 3 refs that are biased and can affect the outcome of a game, and Higgins is their king. The game you mentioned, against UNCheat is an excellent example.

I think a lot of that is over. we wanted Small Forwards? We went and got the best one. We wanted in state talent? We got the best Kentucky guy (or arguably the best..). Kentucky is STILL the only school with two top10 guys next year.
If Duke somehow grabs McDaniels (not even sure that's in play), Stewart (also not likely with Carey, don't buy this), and an RJ Hampton reclass.. then I'll concede they are still getting help.

I'm not buying the rumor that they want to play together. They aren't wings that can share the floor. What two centers want to split minutes? With Bolden and Carey at Duke, why would Stewart want to go there? Coach K doesn't even run much for his bigs, his system isn't predicted on the front court.

That was not a OAD team in 2015 & had nowhere near the talent of Duke's last 3 teams.
If Cal had Duke's roster last 3 seasons & failed to make a final 4 you'd be ready to behead him. Duke NOT making final 4 last 3 seasons with the elite talent they had was a complete failure. Coach K has coached 40 seasons...he's not winning a championship every year.

Well it did guarantee championships when Cal was the only one getting all the players. We've griped & complained all through 4 final 4's & a Naty that if Coach K had the talent Cal was pulling he'd win every year. Well...welcome to reality.

.. and that usually doesn't go too well. If he can slide over to the point, that would be a huge help.. otherwise a 6-2 shooting guard is more of a luxury, and not something you rely on.
Carey is a good get for Duke, I'm not down playing that. I'm just saying, they have a lot.. a LOT more work to do if they want to compete for a title next year. Jones could return, but I don't see it. His brother was 1AD and his best chance to show out is alongside Zion and RJ. I think he's gone.

I think he’s gone too, that’s why I said Ellis might have to be an impact player. If Jones returns Ellis is more of a luxury. Definitely can use his shooting though. Can never have too many shooter you know.

Hard to believe these are isolated incidents , both deep in the tourney , both with a potential Championship on the line , both times the same team got screwed by different ref's ? But theres no conspiracy ? ( I dont think there is but many many on here do)

Duke always does well with that. Althought a 6-2 shooter.. I think that's why he can't crack the top35.. which could be a good thing if he can prove his height isn't a problem.

There's a lot more needed to be a contender. And FWIW, those pieces don't really fit together. Bolden as a PF? O'Connell starting? Like I said, Duke needs to make serious moves.
