Auburn will beat Puke

Auburn is a veteran team, much more than we are, and Duke is gonna struggle with the physicality of that game. Especially with non-traditional refs.

Appreciate the confidence in our chances. Duke has a ton of talent though. We will need to shoot the ball a lot better than we did today to knock them off. Good news is we found a way to win today despite cold shooting and the refs putting Xavier on the line 20 times in the second half.

I don’t think Duke is as good as everyone is making them out to be. Their high was 118 against us in the first game. Since then they have scored far less against worse teams. Aside from TOs in our game everything else was pretty much even. I doubt they shoot like that again this season. It’s going to be a long season.

That's only because the game we played them was at 82 possessions whereas the other games much less possessions.

They put up 90.....against a good San Diego St defense.

Agreed. With their talent level, we need to shoot the ball well and have them shoot more like they did their last couple of games. If they play like they did against UK, they would beat the Cavs.

Auburn just squeaked by an average Xavier. It's about match-ups for sure, but I would put my money on Duke.

Said it last week AUB will take dook down. The game against us was a perfect storm of them hitting everything and us nothing so I throw that one out with what dook has faced. AUB and their guards will give dook a lot of trouble, they haven't seen anything close to it. Wiley can hang inside. I see a back to earth moment for the dookies coming.

Part of me would love Duke to get beat but I don't see it happening. I do like Auburn's team but I just don't think they have the guns to win this game. Anything is possible, of course, but it's very unlikely in my opinion. Now, I don't think Duke will beat them the way they beat UK, but I'd say it will be a 20 point win, a comfortable win.

I will say this- I can't stand Duke and I hope they never win another game, but these players they have are legitimate stars and it will take a monumental effort from someone combined with a flat game from Duke for them to lose. I'm sure that will happen at some point, but they won't lose more than 2-3 games. They're really that good.

Agreed. Duke is stacked. We will need to shoot at a high clip to have a shot. Would help if we could get Zion into foul trouble early as well.

Sadly, agreed. I expect this year to go the way of Duke and I think we could very possibly see a coach K retirement.. So if I have to live with another title from them, so be it.. But can't deal with a perfect season.

Tonight will be the opposite of the NFL game from last night for me. NFL: two exciting teams who I don't really care if they win or lose, and both I'd love to see in the playoffs. Aub/Duke: two exciting team who I hope lose every game they ever play, and I hope they miss the tournament completely.

Duke is the best team ever. The NCAA already gave them this year's trophy- they only have to give it back briefly just before "one shining moment". All announcers have their scripts prepared, and all referees have been coached against keeping games close. Let's just sit back and enjoy greatness.

You're right about Barrett. He's the guy who makes them so tough to beat. He can go get points at any time others can't. They haven't really even needed him in a full game yet.
