Does Cal deserves to be bashed every now and then?

You got the wrong Cat from STL, bruh.

Saying Cal sucks after a loss or needs to move on, like is said here all the time is knee-jerk. If you can't figure that out, I can't help you. That stuff gets said here all the time.

You’re either missing my point, or making it. I can’t decide which. Yes, people that say that are knee jerk. It’s silly. What is also silly is not being able to see the difference between that and general expressions of frustration. Which also happens here, all the time.

If I can't see the difference, why have I criticized Cal myself? Even this past week. You are a knee-jerk mess.

Show me one of my posts that was knee jerk, where I said Cal needs to move on, that Cal sucks, etc ... just one. I’ll wait. But not long.

You aren't very bright, huh? You knee-jerk posted and said I was one that couldn't understand the difference between bashing and criticizing Cal when you had NO IDEA that I had criticized his system this past week. How stupid are you? It's looking worse every post.

Okay, take it easy. Deep breaths. Lol. Maybe I’m wrong on you. Maybe not. Could’ve sworn you were the one who’s been losing your mind on anyone on this and the football board who dares express frustrations or unhappiness. Maybe you’re not that guy.

Losing your mind would be posters telling me I slurp Stoops when I said he's not very good, but he's better than Petrino.

Not losing your mind would be accepting that 9 and 3 is a good year for UK football, if we complete it. Are you one of those guys that just uses these forums to complain? Seems like you might be.

Nope. I complain when things suck, and I celebrate when they don’t.

The rule changes effected everyone somehow. That’s the point of rule changes. The arm bar going away made it at least a little more difficult for freshmen to defend. Cal had our guys using it every year until the rule changed...

This isn't a convincing argument.

OTOH I agree with you generally that Cal has slid. I also agree that if this year continues like this (I don't *think* it will) then Kentucky shouldn't continue to pay Cal the outlandish money he's making.

I’m not a UK fan but I check this board from time to time and yes a lot if you are too hard on him. I don’t think he’s the greatest game coach in the world but most teams would love to have him. He’s brought in a lot of great players for you all yo watch. You never know what you may get when he leaves. As long as it’s not Archie Miller though I don’t care!:). We’re really good this year and probably will be every year from here on out that he’s with IU.

He's a good coach, but he'll bolt if he can as Indiana is a rat hole.

Criticism is fine. It’s hard for me to even put into words how annoyed I am by people who scream “CAL BASHER! SHOULD WE GO HIRE BCG AGAIN?!” to anyone that expresses frustration or constructive criticism.

This. These people are become more annoying than the Fire Calipari crowd.

No one in any line of work is above criticism. Make adjustments and get back to business

Oh now, you know he’s not going anywhere. He is a very very good coach though. I hope he has no desire to coach in the NBA. So when we do play Duke which team do y’all root for? I think it will be a really good game but Duke wins due to homer refs but we’ll see.

Sure he does but when someone creates an account...cough cough.... and bashes him, well it doesn’t have much credibility.
I never have gotten this low post count or new account not having any validity or credibility. I camped out for Madness tickets for 11 years, I have tons of validity and credibility. I've talked with Pitino, Tubby and Joe B and if you think your 10000+ posts makes you have more of those then you are very delusional or immature ... or both.

My first UK basketball game was January 19, 1953. I think that qualifies me. The guy is being paid over $8,000,000.00 a year. That's about $160,000.00 a WEEK. Hell yes I can criticize him. He needs it.

I hope it turns into a great one regardless, because I’m a fan, but I doubt whatever departures we have will cause me pain.

Losses stick with me sometimes - I doubt if any of us are completely over 2015 (or 2017, for that matter), but I can honestly say that I’m happy for the guys who are able to leave and start earning a nice living playing basketball.

Whatever happens this year, I’m sure I’ll be cheering for Maxey, Whitney, and the rest this time next year.
Me too. I love UK . I just refuse to allow things I can't control to control me. If that makes me a fake fan,so be it.

I don’t mind if Cal is criticized and the poster criticizing gives valid observations and reasons why. I appreciate calm, rational discussion.

Drives me nuts when posters bash him based on knee-jerk emotional overreaction.

Bingo. I particularly detest the ones that profess to know what Cal or others on the team are thinking, how hard they or trying or similar touchy-feely drivel. Or the utter garbage posts about players being driven from the team. Facts and discrete observations are quite another matter but this unscrupulous group of Kentucky bashing posters rarely offers such. It’s more the gut wrenching drama of an anguished teen distraught over ketchup on their dress.

I crush Cal a good amount. Never once have I ever suggested he be fired or move on, I hope he's here for a long while still and anyone who suggests otherwise is an idiot or troll and I say it's about 99 to 1 on the troll vs idiot count. But, I'd love it if he got rid of Barbee, I think Justus is awesome and is the star of the recruiting scene for us currently not KP and he's a great analytics guy. I wish Cal would use the analytics and recruit a skill set to Kentucky that he currently doesn't put a large emphasis on. I wish he'd hire someone to coach offense and teach shooting. I wish he would make guys earn their praise and status a little more than it seems that he does currently. In pairing with the last thing I wish guys that have no business leaving school here didn't leave, but these are some of the flaws we get with Cal and I'll take them and we're lucky to have him but he absolutely deserved to be criticized for some of the bumbling mistakes he's made over the years and continues to make.
