for the hate I enjoy for Jay Williams. He done the Texas and Arkansas game last night and of course he kept gushing about Duke tirelessly. During one point he said that "Kentucky was lucky" that we did not play them at Cameron Indoor Stadium or the game would have been even worse. Dude sucks, ad the cavs are pounding Duke despite how often he keeps saying they would beat them.

I don’t read much for Duke in the UK game. They just have superior talent and it was a bad matchup game one. Duke will not be that hot and as soon as one of their stars hits foul trouble in the tournament against a sound coached team they’ll be done.
Hope you are right about that. However, I think Barrett alone will be hard to put out of the tournament; dude seems to be able to control games. Who are some teams that could be a bad matchup for them? I think it will take a team with long athletic wings that can really defend, and shoot well on the other end.

A little off topic, but did you get the sense that Bilas was giddy giving commentary during the game on Tuesday?

If that 2015 UK team didn’t win the title, then nobody is unbeatable. That team would’ve crushed duke.

anyone who says that ANY team is a shoe-in for the natty just doesn't know college BB. it's more appropriate to just acknowledge the teams that could make a run and get to the 4.....once you're in the 4, that's where you find out who's who.....coaching, skill level, injuries and the ability of the "kids" to handle the moment.

What’s funny is I’m actually not all that impressed with Duke. I really don’t see them winning a title.
Same. After seeing our follow up performance, we are a fairly average high D1 team RIGHT NOW. Duke shot at a greater % than they had against the D3 teams they played. If they shoot their average then they win by about 20.

20 is about what a top 5 team should do to an average D1 team breaking in tons of new players to college basketball. Kansas would have done the exact same thing to us if they shot 50+% from 3. We have done that to plenty of teams in the first 5 years of Cal and won 1 title. 2 of our most dominantly explosive teams didn’t even make the championship. 2012 was just the most consistently great team (2015 was close but we snuck out a few grinders that year on our way to 38-1.)

I was definitely impressed with Duke BUT what you saw was more about Kentucky.

Kentucky is broken right now. I think it'll get fixed (at least I hope it does), but Duke can't be that good.

I watched Auburn after our game the other night. Auburn would beat Kentucky as bad as Duke did.

Kentucky has some issues. That's what that game last week was about more than anything, IMO.
