Dude grow up. Jesus christ some of you act like the world is coming to an end. It isn't so relax. First damn game grow a pair. I expect children to act like this. Plus your boy morgousky over a month ago guaranteed a national title. I mean he is your jim Jones.
Uhhh...I believe Kev was throwing in a little sarcasm to HH's post.

I don't guess I did. My point however weak was that the best team doesn't always win the title. This year may be an exception to that. There's a lot of games to be played.

DePaul in 1980-81 was thought by many to be unbeatable for Championship.

Houston in 1983.

Georgetown in 1985.

Illinois in 1989.

UNLV in 1991.

Kansas in 1997.

Kentucky 2015.

Just rambling hoping to add Duke to this. That may not happen. I think a lot of people here are under estimating how good Duke is.
Is under estimating a typo? Seems to me like the majority here have been swinging from duke's nut sack since Tuesday night. But that's just me.

This is for the ones that understand a loss on November 6 to a great team spells doom. No way to recover.

The "Duke blue" sky did fall that day and bashed our coach, players and fans upside the head.
No sugar coating it man.

I believe you should change your wording from understand, to think. However, I agree that while there is a big difference in these two teams today, that will not mean anything other than motivation, in March. In fact, should we play them in the tournament, it could work to our advantage. Pride issue for our players, and overconfidence for Duke. I just think that our players have too much pride to not work their butts off to get better.

Everybody seems to be forgetting that they were younger than UK.

Extra practices and actual games to try things out and this is what Cal came up with. I'm sorry but saying you have to figure out how you want this team to play.

So what exactly was the purpose of the Bahamas trip and the practices? Good grief man.

Dude have you not watched Calipari teams look completely different in March than November? Not always but we have the talent to completely change this year into a team nobody wants to play. People like you forcing doomsday down everyone’s throats sucks.

For me, it was how good Duke is. One of the top teams of all time if they continue to play like that. We are not nearly as good. UNLV 91, Georgetown 85, Duke 99, UK 15 all were similar.

Duke looked great, but Kentucky helped them too. They might be younger, but they had a plan and a purpose, and Kentucky didn't. Unprepared to fall behind early, then Cal wanted to go home, and the margin got wider. The second chance points and points off of turnovers have less to do with talent as it does with effort and smarts. People are saying that Duke could beat the Cavs. Just stop.

Wouldn't be Suprised to see Duke split with UVA or lose to some other scrappy defensive teams. There is a big drop off in talent after their top 3 freshmen and the target is now on their backs. We gave them open shots and lanes all night and seldom pressured the ball. We played McDonald AA game defense and allowed them to put together a highlight reel. That half *** effort isn't going to beat half the teams we play this year.

Totally disagree. There is a reason they hit all those threes. No one was guarding them! There is a reason they were able to go to the rim and get lay up after lay up and dunk after dunk, nobody was guarding them! Not saying we would've won but the margin wouldn't be what it was. You people must have been watching a different game than I was!

We dont have anyone tall enough to contend their 3s from the perimeter. Barrett and Reddish are 6'7/6'8 who were guarded by Quickley, Hagans, and Geeen. Only KJ was able to match up and still go burned. Theyre also too big for all but KJ to guard driving to the basket and too mobile for Washington and Travis. There are plays and game plans you can make but for the first game of the season that was never going to happen. Dukes been with each other playing just as long as we have. They matched up with us too well. Williamsons way too much for PJ and Barrett and Reddish are way to tall and skilled for Herro/Hagans/Quickley/Green. KJ is the only guy who can have a chance and hes by himself.

Lol. Ya think.

Yep. So the piss poor attitude everyone has wouldn't be so pissy if we'd done something as simple as hitting 3s. It was a night they were hot and we were not. Everyone diving too deep into how overall ****** our team is just needs to back away from the ledge. Or not, doesnt ultimately affect me, it just cracks me up how no one but UK fans can get so hype about having the best team in the country and in the same day be the most negative and give up on the season. Bad days and bad games happen. They dont dictate the season. Especially game 1.

You think them being hot had anything to do with their good shooters taking good open shots? You think us missing had anything to do with terrible shot selection? (It did)

A lot of those were wide open 3's uncontested. The drives to the basket were uncontested. There was no defense period! Let's be honest, these guys didn't show up period! It was matador defense.

Not forcing anything on anyone. There are no positives from the game.

I have confidence in Cal. The Cal who had the chip on his shoulder. The Cal who felt the NCAA was against him
. I love that Cal. That Cal got UMASS to the FF. Got Memhis to a title game. Recruited like his hair was on fire.
I want that Cal back and I believe in that Cal. If that Cal comes back, UK will be the team that I think most expected.

3 guys returned who played a ton last year. Reid is a guy who has played many, many college games. Extra practices and games. Sorry, that excuse is no good this year for this game.
As a team they are new and I Have watched Cals team become more cohesive as to your progress than Coach K’s team has

I agree with that. To me, this is on Cal and I love Cal. Best thing at UK since the guy they named the arena after. I just want that edgy Cal back. That Cal is the best in the business imo.
