It is kind of bizarre that Nerlens isn't having success in the NBA. Offensively, he sucks. But defensively he is the kind of fast-twitch athlete who can guard most positions and create a lot of chaos.

There is probably something to him not having the best advisors, but still the guy has NBA talent.

Kind of sad, tbh.

Noel was a flat top wearing badass that was swatting **** into the rafters on the regular, whoever doesn’t like him can get pumped.

I never have, and never plan on ever clicking on one of Joeys links. Ever.

Another weekend in Lexington, was amazing as usual. My buddy that owns the Paddock bought another place called SEC pub, great place to watch a game, 31 big screen TVs, everyone should give it a shot! /plug

Keeneland couldn’t have been any better weather wise on Friday, hung out with one of my buddy’s buddies for like 10 minutes, super nice, looked vaguely familiar. Then as I was catching up on BBM I saw a picture of him on Rupps floor. Realized at that point it was Todd Lanter. He never mentioned a word about playing, never dropped a “well as KAT used to say”. Was extremely impressive, we can’t even have people go three posts on here without bragging about their ****** job or where they live and this guy didn’t even brag about playing for UK.

Hoping like hell the tickets I got for champions classic through the MSU website come through.

I apologize; that 2013 team pissed me off so much and I guess I just associate it with Nerlens. I remember sitting in some random, crappy wine bar in Houston watching us lose to Robert Morris... terrible.

So now, when Nerlens does some dumb *** thing like fail a drug test or pass up on $70M for ~$4, it just brings me back to Harrow and Archie and the rest of those over-hyped, under-performing 2013 squad.

Of course Cal and UK cheat by the NCAA’s bs, antiquated, hypocritical standards.

The big difference is that Cal more or less owns up to it, flaunts it, calls out the establishment for their ridiculousness, and generally doesn’t GAF.

Counterpoint - We had a psychotic alcoholic pissing all over Rupp's legacy wearing a brown suit in that building.

I pretended Billy G was Shooter from Hoosiers that game; that combined with the old time feel of Memorial made me actually believe I had been transported back to the 50's. I should have made my wife wear a Poodle skirt.

Decided to watch some of the Suns game:

- Booker is going to be a legitimate star. Thought he might be fringe at best.
- Suns have a solid young nucleus and will be players in the West starting next year.
- Will be one of the more fun teams to watch.

Lamb will be our downfall if ever. Not that he got paid. Just could see him tweeting at Emmert or whoever tf is in charge that we cheated, just for fun.
Deposing him would be like deposing a Speak and Say.

ATTORNEY: "Mr. Lamb - can you tell us about any payments made to you by the university?"

D LAMB EAT: "Who up?"

ATTORNEY: "Uh, do you need me to repeat the question?"

D LAMB EAT: "Richie P. LMAO." (Shows attorney what's in his takeout box)

I'm sure he's a great guy, but Michael Bennett is the biggest goober I've ever heard on radio. Ever (podcasts included).

I mean, Ryan Lemond marcus welby Snoop Dogg compared to that dude. Simply unlistenable; I feel sorry for Shannon the Dude having to pretend like he has some kind of rapport with him. On top of being awful, he knows absolutely nothing about sports. I'm sure Matt can't comment, but I'd really love to know how in TF he got a radio show.

Oh, and he seriously renamed his show "Just the Tip" (from Morning Tipoff). [sick]

-DLamb should be outside of the stachoot uuuhhh leematayshuns. Of course they'd throw that out to get Cal.

-The McNair first episode... is a bit shaky. Not sure I'm buying what these guys are selling.

-Got to tour Cal's office and the Craft Center last night, it's a damn museum. Spot lights on all his awards, corner devoted to his HOF induction. That being said, the football facilities are better, we need to change that.

-Note to self, if ever exiled by a middle eastern prince for writing critical opinions of their country do not stop at the embassy for a quick marriage license. Diplomatic Immunity... my ***.

-I ranted about Bennett months ago. He's really terrible, rambling crap and for me to turn off UK based sports radio it's really bad. An hour of Jon Short would be more entertaining.

-Speaking of terrible UK radio, sounds like Chris Cross lost his wife last night. He's had a rough few years. Sucks.

NBA

-I watched the entire Pels/Rockets game last night on accident. I love following the NBA, but don't really watch a lot of the games in large doses -- can't recall the last time I watched a full one. Guess it was the UK contingent putting a beatdown on the Rockets, the most easy-to-hate team in the league.

Really enjoyed - they have a really nice team. Davis is just so good/big/polished that it really isn't fair, and that Mirotic guy is a great compliment - dude went off last night. Jrue Holiday is probably the most underrated guy in the league, what a complete player. But, something about Davis is clearly different -- he's ready to be THE star, and clearly wants that MVP. Enjoy, PTI(pti), should be a fun team to follow.

-Randle balled as well - found it interesting that he was running point, Simmons style, on the 2nd unit. Miller didn't play well, but he's got a clear defined role on that team. As happy that he's carved out a nice NBA Career as anyone that I can think of that's passed through here.

-If you enjoy casually following the UK kids & hate Twitter, at least sign up for an account and Follow Scott Charlton only. It's a one stop shop for every bucket they score, in nearly real time..still have no clue how he does it. What a great service for UK fans.

-How about WCS last night? 23/7/4 against the best defensive player in the league in Gobert? Impressive.

-They love Shai out there. Winning ROY is a longshot w/ Luka, but him being in the running would be the least surprising thing ever. What a baller

-Monk busted out, looks primed for a feature role sooner than later. Amazing that he was buried behind MCW all last year, but new coach seems to love him. That boring *** team definitely needs a jolt.

-Feel terrible for Towns. He's a punching bag around the league right now. Unfortunate he was the one left to deal with psycho Butler, but he should have handled it differently as well -- worry he's lost the respect of much of the team the way he's backed down. Hope they can trade that bastard soon and he can move on. Clearly, KAT is shook, 2-6 last night for 8pts. :grimace:

-Alonzo Trier, what a steal. Dude seems possessed since going undrafted...never quite understood why scouts didn't like him, he's relentless.

-May have to give League Pass a trial.

League Pass is free thru the 23rd. Watched tons of games featuring UK players last night. Bam played great in the 3rd qtr. Was about a 5 minute span where he took over both ends of the court.

I literally loathe the Twolves right now more then I've loathed any professional team I've rooted for in my life.

What a complete dumpster fire. Thibs needs to be gone yesterday, along with Butler. Promote Ryan Saunders for a year, see what you can squeeze out of a year playing the youth and regroup next year with cap space assuming Teague opts out of his player option ($19 mil) and you can trade Taj on an expiring or buy him out.

Okogie and Bates-Diop: 0 minutes last night

But hey, let's play Derrick Rose and Tyus Jones at the same time, two 6'2"-6'3" PG's in a league where dribble handoffs and pick and rolls are used to get massive mismatches every GD possesion
