Was in furniture for 10 yrs. Temper's are nice but in reality can get a comparable mattress for 1/2 or 1/3 of the price. We displayed them just so people could compare the less expensive brands, plus the GP on Temper is insanely low.

I am a big proponent of a nice matt though, should be the most expensive piece of furniture in your house. Now the adjustable frame, OK for invalids and the elderly. Little overboard for an able bodied man.

Cajun Fettucine Alfredo :fire:

Man it’s been too long!

It wasn't cajun fettuccine alfredo, you moron.

It was just fettuccine alfredo with crab cakes. I'd order it again right now. Fantastic. Just a simple pasta dish.

You see, krazykats, I order things that I like to eat. Not to impress anyone else.

Pascal Manales. Place was great. Especially the oysters. Man, pti, if that place was in my neighborhood, I'd eat a dozen on the half shell at least once a week. You are a lucky bastard.

* Been getting all ***** Eye this week. Dropped about a grand on home furnishings. About $600 on bedding alone. Pinterest. The works.

* Most agonizing part of my day -- where should I meet my buddy for lunch?

* Kellen Winslow, Jr. Yikes.

Least discriminatory rapist ever, imo.

* Annual Hotter than Hell, Dusk to Dawn event on Saturday. 8pm to 6am. 10 hours, 4 mile loops. Most miles wins. Shooting for 48.

* The absolute worst hell hole on earth for going #2 --> a Pilot truck stop. Lord have mercy, what that plumbing must go thru.

* Tyler Childers top 5, in no particular order.....

- Feathered Indian
- Messed Up Kid
- Country Squire
- Redneck Romeo
- Born Again

just missing the cut = Whitehouse Road, Universal Sound

* Great BIlly Jack highlight. We lost that game, if I'm not mistaken.

Charleston Girl, Tattoos and Follow You to Virgie would be in my Top 5.

*My son turns 13 today. Officially moves out of the pre-teen years to full on teenager. Such an awesome kid and I couldn't be more proud of him.

*Ruth's Chris tonight. Him and I will be splitting the 40 oz. tomahawk ribeye.

*Fly out to Clearwater Beach in the early AM. Pumped.

*Papa John's going to drop the "John's" part and be known as Papa's or nah?

*Fan of Trump's policies but he's a queef. I get fighting back but not answering a simple question from a network you don't like is weak. I remember when conservatives were blasting Obama for ducking Fox and liberals were applauding it. Hypocrites on both sides. Politics shouldn't be a team game.

*I need a new mattress with the quickness. I'll get one once we find a new house. Speaking of, hope to have ours on the market when we get back from vacation.

*My brother is scheduled to be released from prison on 8/1. Been in there since 2002. Can't imagine. May put him up at my mom's house until he gets on his feet. Or until I get the house ready to sale. Either way, I'm going to try to make his transition easier. Really thought Dad would handle this, but........

*How many additional followers has UL cheer girl gotten since Wodie's post? Over/Under 50.

-Yup.

Kaden Tower is probably the ugliest high rise I've ever seen in person and that's saying something. Also, the Watterson out that way seems extremely inefficient.

Look, I think John Scnhatter deserves a whole heap of **** at the moment (and believe he's gotten enough, frankly), but people in this city and state need to recognize that Papa John's is merely the company he created. Penalizing and vilifying the actual corporation that is, you know, based here, employs 1,100+ Kentuckians, and from all accounts is a great corporate citizen, is cutting off the nose to spite your face.
You mean to tell me that social media has handled this without any level of nuance or levelheadedness? Hard to believe, really.

I mean, the naming rights to a stadium until 2040 ain’t exactly chump change. Hard to believe he’s just gonna lay that down without a fight or buyout.

I couldn't care less about the subject but that logic makes zero sense. If you are part of that race you can say it but if not no? I know that's the way it seems but doesn't make it correct. It's like UK football, we can make fun of it because we have suffered for decades but get upset when outsiders do.

But I'm a white male in my early 40's so I've had it pretty easy.

Also, GFY.

Anybody on here slang health insurance for a legit company?

I interviewed for a job recently and the salary is nice but I was told that insurance would only be provided for myself. No option for a family plan, and my wife’s work also doesn’t offer a family plan. So we’d have to buy a plan out of pocket for the kids.

I currently work for the state so the salary is **** obviously, but a family plan for $350 a month is pretty nice.

Every Republican that’s run for office in the entire country for the last 6 years has sworn to repeal Obamacare day 1 in office. It’s a complete disaster and they singlehandedly will be marching to Washington to solve this mess for eternity.

No sense in worrying about health insurance rates.

I think you’re exactly right. Now that the GOP has complete control of government, I should be able to find a solid plan for my daughters at pennies on the dollar compared to what it would’ve cost with the Kenyan Antichrist in office.

The individual market is truly a disaster to those sorry citizens who actually have a decent salary, thereby not qualifying for a subsidy. The price for your wife and children to have even the leanest plan possible ($6k ish HDHP on an HMO network) will likely still be astronomically expensive. Price it out yourself at healthcare.gov.

With the individual mandate being stripped away (yay, the Rs actually did something!!!), it would at least be reasonable to bank the money and risk it instead. Not saying you should do it, but it’s worth considering. By the time 2019 rolls around, I think you will see some catastrophic plans hit the market, which can be significantly cheaper.

And if none of that works, just sit back and trust your favorite politician, regardless of political persuasion. They’ll fix everything for you.

Well my wife can get a single plan for herself thru work too. It’s just that neither her job nor mine would offer a family plan which leaves out the kids, the youngest of which hasn’t even turned 3yo yet.

Went to healthcare.gov and from what I can tell, you can’t even get a quote outside of open enrollment without documenting proof of your qualifying event (which hasn’t happened yet obviously). Tried a couple other websites and you had to provide phone number and email to get a quote, and now I’ve been bombarded with shady calls, texts, and emails.

I came into this expecting an annoying experience, and yet it’s still managed to amaze me how GD difficult it is to get a quote on a 3 year old and an 18 month old.

Wait. So neither of your employers will allow you to add your children??? You don’t need a family plan, you just need a plan for you or your wife to add the kids. That doesn’t make sense. I think companies can restrict group plans to ONLY their employees and no dependents, but that’s pretty rare.

And a job change is a qualifying event.
