My wife better not put a damn thing in that minivan while I’m at work. Spent the better part of the night figuring out the most efficient packing strategy... it’s like the re-entry plans in Apollo 13, they have to be in sequence. Do you want to get to Florida with the deflector shields in place or do you want to die in a flaming inferno, woman?

Now that you can have a super comfortable memory foam mattress delivered to your door in 48 hours for well under $1,000, I’m not sure why anyone would have to make a major investment in such a purchase anymore.

Organic or nah?

Those of you who have been fortunate enough to meet me know that I am an idiot. Well, about 7 years ago, my wife had waaaaaaay too much stuff for me to try to fit in the 4Runner for a trip to Destin. I mean, there was zero chance I could make this stuff fit.

Well, it may have been pure luck, fate or divine intervention, but I packed that sucker perfectly... like fried rice in one of those paper cartons you get at your favorite Chinese joint.

Now, every summer, the pressure is on to duplicate that feat. So far, so good. But I know sooner or later my wife will realize we have been living a lie and I am not the packing guru she thinks I am.

I am pushing for us to fly next year. Give the few things we can't bring on the plane (5' Millennium Falcon, shade canopy, cooler, etc) to one of our family members who are driving and take to the skies. No worries about packing the car to my own other worldly standards and no driving thru Alabama. Winner.

ShowKiller, don't try to be a hero. Think about yourself for once. Take care of you. It is ok.

My bourbonhead bro-in-law who brought 1979 Jim Beam to the wedding for us groomsmen while getting ready, gave me a sample of some 1968 10-Year Ezra Brooks for my bday, along with a bottle of Weller.

Dude loves those vintage bourbons and they do taste different than the recent stuff.

That Beam was as smooth as anything I've ever had.

-No soccer games on today.

-SAE is correct in that the whiny pussies are beyond out of control w/ Twitter shaming, especially w/ regards to airlines -- HOWEVA, if you have a legit issue w/ a company in 2018 (which isn't a delayed flight), there is no more effective way to get it handled promptly, imo.

Yes. Tasted some of my great great grandfather’s (JW Dant) stuff from turn of 20th century at a family reunion a few years ago
I don’t recommend. o_O

JW Dant is also my great grandfather, have several of his bottles and labels. Not a big surprise since my family is from the same small town as yours. But it does make me feel a little odd about making out with you at that one tailgate.

Social media outrage is terrible, but the trend of giving awful (usually white) women caught on video being terrible nicknames is close to a hatboggan for me.

Permit Patti
Barbecue Becky

They’re funny enough to almost overshadow the creeping racism!

No love for Dewey, Richie?

In all seriousness, Chad's group is about as cool as they come -- much moreso than him, in most cases. Love those guys, they took me in off catpaw and made me one of their own.

-Nice lil 105 Heat Index & 120% humidity for the weekend. [eyeroll] Thank goodness, sick of that 85 degree nonsense.

Refinished basement, family vacation flights... must be nice, Willy.

Trump is trying to keep me from flying. Tariffs on steel have caused Toyota to cut back on production of the Camry and Corolla - both made right here in America. That is going to cut in to my bonus.

I think the KSR crew is taking the drake line about Louisville a little too far. Basically drake said rick pitino is gonna get you laid. Not necessarily a sick burn imo.

Speaking of the KSR crew, has anyone noticed the cult-like following Cameron mills has on Twitter? All these people that write for/work for Cameron mills radio? TF is Cameron mills radio? Freaking weirdos. And that picture he uses for his logo cracks me up every time. It was taken no later than 1999.

Donald trump needs to make the first Friday in July Independence Day. Having to celebrate on a freaking Wednesday sucks.

I've got some buddies from Cincinnati via a UK friend, and they're all complete F'n giants. Like 6'3"+ across the board. The entire crew.

I'm better looking than them, have better taste and closer access to fantastic food/pizza/chili, but I always chuckle at how F'n big these Cincinnati jerries are. Is that standard?

Yeah, we’re all big up here.

Me: Hey toots I’d like to be on the road by 11am.

Her: No problem everything is packed already.

At 11:20 she is getting her toes did, and of course I’m paying!

Punctuality has led to many a grievance with the lass. Actually the biggest thing we fight about. Started playing her on a curve, but she got wise to it. Now have to throw a double move to ensure a timely departure.

Drives me insane.

Wife is generally punctual, but it takes her an ice age to get out of the car. Is that a woman thing in general?

I swear I can get out and be inside Kroger(s) or restaurant before she even takes her seat belt off. Even when she doesn't have a phone or purse, it's the same thing. Women amirite ?? ha!

Gyero was going so well today. You remind me of that speed bump they just installed in my neighborhood, didn't do a f@cking thing but gum up the works.

Chad, "Sorry Not Sorry" is a banger and I will not have you besmirch it. If there's one thing I know, it's bangerz, and that one, my friend, is a banger.

But I’m the ladder UKrob gets hung up on!

Lake bound though in 10 minutes so enjoy the heat, poosies.

-Never heard of Sorry Not Sorry. Then again, I have no clue what you all are talking about with someone shooting up a newspaper or whatever happened. #offthegrid...ish

-Be interesting to see who gets the new super teams in the NBA soon.

-Looking forward to getting past the 4th and letting town clear out a bit. Had enough foreigners, midwesterners and Miami people for a few months.

-Dying to get a bow and start shooting in the backyard but I swore I wasn’t buying anything for a little while...we’ll see. Ultimate goal is to provide some fresh meat for the family as much as possible.

-Costa Rica surf trip on the horizon, just need to sack up and hit the book button.

-Garden supplies purchased and waiting til after the holiday to set it all up. Don’t worry gang, you can follow on IG.
