- Someone should let him know that Griff and Houston aren’t attention whores and Rondo is way more popular in Louisville than Rex. We are huge fans of his camps and his service in our community.

- Rex’s NBA accomplishments:

2nd place in a dunk contest(I think but I’m not looking it up)

A fade away off one foot, falling out of bounds 3 to win a game, or maybe send it to overtime.....not real sure though.

Mike Bibby y'all

Hope he whips Rex's *** for some odd reason.

Some hilljack white boy raped pretty Rexy is all I can figure. He has some very deep hatred for the state of KY and it's bizarre. That interview he did with Matt was weird as hell, but he kind of explains why he is the way he is.

Tiger sucks.

The World Cup is awesome.

Rex is a blowhard.

I'm in a monster sized cabin in the woods next to the Little Pigeon River chillin. :fire:

Well Rex sure seems hell bent on completely ruining his popularity and making the only people who give a **** about him dislike him. A slow play Dixie chicks if you will.

I think the Birdgang is going to run him out of town. I know a casual UL fan that already thinks he’s too “mid-major” for their program. Small time name. Small time recruits. Small time style (whatever that means).

Ultimately he’s not flashy enough for their storied program and attendance will go down because they won’t like his style. Basically his style works for a mid-major but not for their powerhouse program.

He’s the guy following the guy. Never a good position to be in. He’s set up to fail and once the NCAA smoke clears, that fan base will talk themselves into going after a Brad Stevens or something.

To be fair, at least as someone who doesn't remember him playing basketball, everyone's willingness to repeatedly let him dick UK/UK fans over and still give him opportunities to coast by on his popularity is perplexing. Just a little odd that he would be the one to try to throw that back in our faces.

Also, as was pointed out on the Twitter machine, give me Dom or Darius any day of the week. Any effs I had about Rex Chapman (and there weren't many) were gone the day he made one of 12 days (?) in UK's 100+ year history when they were playing for a national championships about him with a flat out lie.

Some Friday Shorts:

*My read on Rex is that he is a contrarian who gets his attention seeking by trolling the hell out of BJW. Bad look for a legend.

*Matt should just pay Vanetti to fill in anytime he leaves. Tony is really the only guest host who makes the show tolerable, imo.

*Shot a 33 at men's night with a bogey, game rounding into form...but with family vacation looming in two weeks I probably won't touch a club for a good ten days and lose all the positive momentum.

*The beach is overrated. Kids help keep it entertaining but there is only so much sitting I can do. Now my wife, she could veg out on the beach for days on end. I would much rather go out west during the summer, hike, trout fish, roam around some of those ski resorts that have awesome summer setups. As the kids get older I will push for that.

*Really enjoying this US Open so far. What the hell is up with Rory, though? He's probably my all-time favorite foreign player and the guy just can't put it all together anymore.

*Having a difficult time getting excited about football season this year. Quite frankly, it's something about Stoops...I don't actively dislike him but I'm also not convinced he knows what the hell he is doing and that's a little concerning this far in.

*The Malcolm Gladwell pod reminds me of that Alanis Morisette song "Isn't it Ironic?" where most of the content in the song wasn't as ironic as it just sucked. He promotes that it's a pod about things overlooked or misunderstood but mostly when I listen to it I just think, "damn, that kind of sucks". Maybe that's what he is going for.

I think it'll be more than two years, but this is certainly plausible. And the same goes for Vince Tyra. Both seem to be competent professionals and solid human beings, but Pitino/Jurich style of doing business was a drug their fanbase will never rehab from.

A mild-mannered family man who says complimentary things about Cal/UK will not endear himself to that fanbase, especially since he's not going to be winning a lot of basketball games for the foreseeable future.

-He didn't really apologize, he blamed it on drugs, and having the info, and Cal didn't care, and blah blah blah. You can really tell a lot about a person that can't just say, "I'm sorry."

-I think Mack will do well, obviously nothing like Rick, but they'll have to keep him around a few years unless it's just a trainwreck. I see this following a similar trajectory as Crean.

-Kenny Walker really just gets it as far as former UK guys. He should mentor his dumb white friend.

-After Rory's last major several people on the Paddock were sure he was catching Tiger. Like I say, always take the under in lifetime majors. At that time I suggested he didn't have the drive to even catch the guys at 7 and got roasted. We shall see.

I mean, Rex’s ability to have some popularity despite his major character flaws probably has something to do with the color of his skin.

Not sure why he left Derek Anderson off of his list.

Rex sucks as do a lot of things out of Owensboro.

So, all of these are bad, terrible things that have been associated with the school. How do you rank them in terms of what’s the worst?

Drug dealers
Diddlers
Drug addicts
Racists
Rapists (alleged)
Hobo drunks

Yep. Vanetti is a pro. Still think a Matt Vanetti show would have been much better than what we have now.

He is stealing kids from Morehead.

Get soccer is the world’s sport, but I’d still go with Lebron or Tiger.

If you asked every American who “Cristiano” is, how many would answer correctly? 30%

Ian Poulter winning the US Open would be so . . . him. I loathe that dude. He’s a great heel and I’ll “appreciate” him one day maybe. But right now, I can’t have him winning our national tournament.

Non-factor the other 89 minutes.

Top 2 player in the world and his team doesn't advance out of group play says it all.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. For one thing he’s Portuguese - not a country stacked with talent. Second, they won the Euros two years ago which was unbelievable. Third, check out all of the goals he’s scored in champions league games and other important games for Real Madrid and before that Man United. Fourth, he scored three goals today.
