Some Friday Shorts:
*My read on Rex is that he is a contrarian who gets his attention seeking by trolling the hell out of BJW. Bad look for a legend.
*Matt should just pay Vanetti to fill in anytime he leaves. Tony is really the only guest host who makes the show tolerable, imo.
*Shot a 33 at men's night with a bogey, game rounding into form...but with family vacation looming in two weeks I probably won't touch a club for a good ten days and lose all the positive momentum.
*The beach is overrated. Kids help keep it entertaining but there is only so much sitting I can do. Now my wife, she could veg out on the beach for days on end. I would much rather go out west during the summer, hike, trout fish, roam around some of those ski resorts that have awesome summer setups. As the kids get older I will push for that.
*Really enjoying this US Open so far. What the hell is up with Rory, though? He's probably my all-time favorite foreign player and the guy just can't put it all together anymore.
*Having a difficult time getting excited about football season this year. Quite frankly, it's something about Stoops...I don't actively dislike him but I'm also not convinced he knows what the hell he is doing and that's a little concerning this far in.
*The Malcolm Gladwell pod reminds me of that Alanis Morisette song "Isn't it Ironic?" where most of the content in the song wasn't as ironic as it just sucked. He promotes that it's a pod about things overlooked or misunderstood but mostly when I listen to it I just think, "damn, that kind of sucks". Maybe that's what he is going for.
