We’re at 10 scholarship players.

Do we add anyone else? Or save ‘em for next year or the next Jarnell Stokes?

I think we are likely done,a player would have to really come from deep in the woodwork to show up on the team at this point. What type of player would it be(assuming Travis is a done deal)another big, surely not a guard, maybe a wing?

I know,Cal has tryouts from the regular student body, one or two guys get a scholarship.Next spring whoever it is declares for the draft. It has never been done before, takes players first to a whole new level.Proving once and for all that Cal can get a ham sandwich to the NBA draft

I'd imagine if we take somebody, it would have to be somebody who's committing to 3-4 years and not playing at all as a freshman.

Get a grad transfer that really only cares about winning a title...someone not very good but would love to wear blue and white

or

Like was said above, get a 2 or 3 star with a lot of potential to be a Hawkins type player.

Yeah 10 is plenty if they are all 10 really are players which ours are. You need 5 guard/sf types and 4 bigs . WE have that.

11 seems to be Cal's optimal number.

He had 11 last year and the year before.

This allows him to keep Brad on scholarship (though I am not sure why he wants Brad on scholarship, it's not like he needs it) and still save one in case someone wants to come in mid-year (like Diallo, Wynyard).

He might be done, though. Adding Zan Payne to the equation might change things. Zan and Brad on scholarship pushes us to 12. That still leaves him one just in case he needs it.

The name that I can’t help but think of is KYKy Tandy.

Fits a few things.

1. KY boy. People always call for that. I actually don’t care about this, but a lot of fans always call for it.

2. He’s a guy that’ll play all 4 years.

10 is plenty. Anyone else you bring in wouldn't even play any.

I suppose one more is fine, but they have to know they wont play any.

His dad is a douche so doubt that happens. He sounds like he would cause chemistry issues.

We don't need 13 on scholarship. Also Jhonny David would make 11 on scholarship and Brad Calipari and Zan Payne would make 13 if they were given one.

Maybe a Juco guy for the future? With Travis we wouldn't need anyone else this season, but if there is a Juco that could help down the road it couldn't hurt to bring him in.

He's not coming and he won't play all 4 yrs. Well, according to his father anyway.

Fine then. Put me on scholly. I will stay four years and earn my doctorate. Plus, I am 6'0, 250 with PF skills and legs like telephone poles. Let some 190lb underclassman try to push me off the block...ain't happenin'. I guarantee I will set records at the UK combine.

I wouldn't mind him doing what Kansas has done and get a true transfer in like Jalek Felton or something.

His dad probably removed any chance he plays at UK.

Don't know if any are available at this point but a regular transfer to practice with the team while not playing next year would be nice.

Kyky is class of 2019

Can't help us this upcoming year get to 11 scholarships...so thats not the option we are discussing.
