Last time I paid any attention to the NBA was back in the day when Celtics and Lakers dominated. Bird, McHale and Parish versus Magic, Worthy and Jabbar.

The play in the NBA is definitely a lot better to watch than college . I watch both but outside of Kentucky I barely watched any other college basketball games

None, nada, never. If it faded into history I would not miss it and I am in the majority of Americans. I am starting to feel that way about all professional sports.

I watch NBA whenever I can. Most people don't like it but I always wonder why basketball fans don't genuinely like NBA. It amazes me people don't like watching the most athletic skilled basketball players go up against equal talent on a daily business.

1. NBA doesn't play defense. That' bull ish. They do. Go watch a live NBA game and tell me they don't play defense. Most players can't be guarded anyway. Just have to contain if possible

2. Too many travels/walks. Very true but the euro step and speed of game plays into the style of play.

3. College ball is more exciting. It is too me but a NBA playoff game live is just as exciting as most tourney games. Plus a 7 game series really defines the better team. Can you imagine UK playing in a 7 game series?

4. Too many egos and issues with NBA. I think it adds personality to the game. It's amazing to me how much talent is in the league. Always fun to see UK players flourish along with other players that never got much recognition in college and now are balling in the league.

I hate the nba, but our son likes basketball, so I’ll watch a few games if he wants me to watch with him.

If it died tomorrow, I wouldn’t shed a tear though.

I've been a Celtics fan almost as long as I've been a UK fan. I will always watch them. I will watch other marquee games during the season and every game I can that has a UK player in it. I also go to a few games every year. Last year I bought a 10-game Sixers package and had a blast. They do a great job making it a fun evening even if the game isn't great.

I never got to see Anthony Davis play at UK so it's been really fun to see him play in person.

I would rather watch a mediocre NBA game than a 60-58 college game.

I watch my team (Sixers) whenever they're on TV, and just about all the play off games. The NBA playoffs are more fun to watch than the NCAA tournament.

I grew up in Georgia in the 80s so I was a big Hawks fan back then, loved me some Dominique Wilkins. I still follow them a bit when they are good but nothing like I did back then. Nowadays I fall into the category of following ex-UK guys and that's about it. I will watch some of the playoffs but not much.

I have to be honest though, if college basketball eventually becomes a glorified intramural league because the best HS players go straight to the league (or G League) instead of going to college, not only will my love of college hoops begin to wane, I will probably quit following the NBA altogether.

Not a big fan of the direction things are heading, and it kind of bums me out. Don't get me wrong, I want these kids to achieve their dreams and make tons of money, I get it. I just miss the college basketball I grew up with, what can I say, I'm selfish.

I find myself watching more and more due to the fact that we have so many guys impacting the league. If the Wizards are on I almost always have to stop and watch. When the Pelicans acquired Boogie I tried to catch as many games as possible. Early in the year I was interested in the Kings because I wanted to see what Fox would do. Obviously none of these games can compare to a UK game but it's great that we've gotten to the point where our guys who were drafted so high to bad teams are now established enough to where they are leading their teams into the playoffs.

I try to catch as many games throughout the season as I can but I usually just watch the big games, especially ones with bad blood... But I don't miss a single playoff game. The NBA playoffs are the most entertaining sporting event to watch in my opinion. Nothing else comes close.

I watch 0 full games a year. But 3-4 times a year I might watch for 5-10 minutes if I see a game while flipping channels that has a UK player. Maybe I'll watch part (a quarter) of an NBA finals game or two, maybe.

NCAA is only great because of the single elimination while the NBA is a 7 game series so that alone will be more exciting .

This^^ watching the way they execute on offense in the nba can be so much fun to watch. Unless UK is playing or the game isn’t a marquee matchup, college BB can be a drag sometimes.

Kind of a skewed poll as the pro-NBA results are scattered across like five categories.

I probably watch 5-6 games a week and nearly all of the playoffs that aren't a 1-8 sweep at 7pm on a weekend.

It's just immeasurably better basketball. Every game is a matchup between fun players or with some type of interesting storyline or playoff implications.

I used to really be big into it back when the Mavericks with Nowitzki were making waves and Shaq and D-Wade were doing their thing for Miami. I even got back into it with Boston vs LeBron/Bosh/Wade but it's just hard. I know they're the best at what they do and that 50 points and 20 rebounds in a game is cool but the flow, atmosphere, etc all just turn me off. I'm currently pulling for the Pelicans though. If I hear one more person suck on the Warriors jock with all their bandwagon fans, I'll be sick.

I watch at least part of a game every night of the season, unless Kentucky is playing. Most people that criticize it by saying there is no defense and the players don't play hard haven't watched in ages. The talent level is so high.

I watch 3 or 4 games a week during the regular season, and pretty much all of the playoffs. I've loved the NBA longer than I have loved college bball.

The NCAA tournament is popular because of all the office pools filling out brackets. After the first weekend March madness is over. The only people who care after that are the hard core fans of the remaining 16 teams.

The intensity level of the NBA playoffs is greater because it is a "best of series", and the games are played on the courts of the competing teams. The championship is not staged in a football stadium where only 4000 of 60000 tickets are allocated to the participating schools. As for the NCAA, during the first weekend I just love watching UK play Davidson and Buffalo in Boise Idaho or some other hell hole in a half empty arena.

As for those Cinderella upsets, 99% of the time those upsets only result in a 20+ point blowout in the next game.

The NBA, like all pro sports, is structured so that the lowest remaining seed always plays the highest remaining seed. This maximizes the chances that the best teams advance. A rule like this would have been of great benefit to 2015 UK.

I voted only the playoffs...but I don't try to watch every game, and I've not watched a full game yet. Catch parts of some of them when I run across them. Will check scores, see how UK guys are doing, then back to whatever. I guess I've caught more of Wall's games than anybody else.
