EJ moves up one spot #10,Keldon Up 1 spot #13,Quickley drops 5 spots to #20 and Herro moves up 1 spot to #34

I may have missed the post on this subject why did
SIMISOLA SHITTU opt for Vanderbilt? He is number 1 ranked power forward in the class and the number 7 ranked player overall. It seemed he wanted to attend UK but then UK dropped recruiting him? Is this right? What happened?

No problem with the rankingns other than Reddish not moving down more. He should be around 8. I’m also still not a big fan of Bol Bol, I think he’s only a little better (due to height/shot blocking) than Isaiah Austin was at the same stage. Very similar games

IQ just didn't play in the All Star circuit much. It's a dumb reason to drop him. He was good at the McD's practices. He's a top 12-14 player.

Just like Karl Towns was 9 because he missed a summer AAU circuit. But Harry Giles can be hurt for two full years and stay #1.

Giles did sit on the bench for the Jordan and Nike Hoop Summit games. They must have given him points for supporting his teammates, lol.

I really like Quickley, but I don't think that he's an impact recruit.

If he somehow manages to be a OAD, I'll be shocked.

That wasn’t the reason though. Quickley played in the AllStar circuit with (I can’t remeber the team) but I went and saw some of his games when I went back east. Quickley’s issues is that he’s like Jalen Brunson, very solid pg who gets it done in many ways but doesn’t stand out with super speed or athletic ability AND doesn’t care about stats so he doesn’t put up big scoring numbers.

He’s the guy you love as a recruit because he’s good enough to have a impact day 1 and be a All American by year 3. He issue is the Cal effect in that he won’t be around that long so it’s a catch 22.

Wonder where they would rank Hagans in this year’s class. I heard one analyst say they’d rank him above Tre Jones. Haven’t heard much beyond that.

Quickley dropping that much is a surprise. But not worried about it because I think Cal was targeting shooters over other abilities. Quickley still strikes me as a strong floor general with good measurements and the ability to shoot the long range shot.

That puts him ranked pretty close to where Green was ranked (I think he was around 25?). Really hope Green comes back and leads this young back court. And hopefully Quickley and Green return for the following season. But with the Kentucky effect and the fact that Cal is still recruiting guards from the 2019 class it makes me think he doesn’t plan on having these guys come back.

I just asked Bossi and he said Hagans would be top ten and Maxey would be in the 20’s.

Rankings aside, its clear why Cal is pursuing Hagans and potentially Maxey. Quicky and Herro are good players but are not the types to come in as freshmen and get you to a title. They both need to get stronger. As sophs, there is no reason why you cant lean on them for a deep run but next year they will need help.

If Vandy gets Langford then they would have brought in 3 top 20 players in one class.

Completely false. Quickley will be the starting pg . He is by far a better leader then hagans. Hagans is more talented and will be drafted higher ( IMO hagans is a lotto pick after next season) but this is Quick's team along with Green if he stays. Also Herro has way more scoring potential of any of our guards . He isn't as well rounded but he is the only player on our roster who could drop a 45 spot on not being surprising next year. Maxey would be way behind even Hagans though as Hagans is 19 already as well. Also these rankings are a joke as any ranking that doesn't have KJ in the top 10 is not valid. I would take KJ over every player not named Barrett and maybe Little .

Maybe he fancies being the 2nd most famous African American country music star?

I have a question about Reddish and you seem to a finger on recruiting. I saw on Twitter some recruiting gurus talking about Reddish being bumped down bc he is being "coddled to". You heard anything about his? Does his HS coach baby him? AAU coach maybe? I wish I could find the tweets I'm referring to, I'll keep looking

He was the number 2 recruit (supposedly) and his team lost 10 games lol. And I don't think he is just playing for his local team like Davis was.

What happened to Khavon Moore? I thought he was a really good prospect a year ago and now it looks like he’s dropped about 25 spots

I don't really care about these. Just folks opinion. Biancardi defending putting Towns at 9 the other night should tell you all you need to know about these guys.

Jamil was a boss, way better than his brother Jahlil.

From what I remember Barrett didn't get along with him and since we were chasing Barrett we stopped going after Shittu. That worked out well for us LOL.
