Might mean PJ/JV expected to go. Might mean Bolden expected to stay.

They are after a couple of bigs. One from Stanford and one from South Dakota State. Both are very good scorers and very good college players. The question is, did Duke back off because of his leaning to us or is he leaning to us because Duke is pursuing more seasoned players? K isn't going to be limited to Bolden imo.

There is still a lot of players that will be taking the transfer route before May is over and I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see Cal and the staff land a solid grad transfer to help us in the frontcourt.Just have to be patient and wait to see who decides to take that route.

Reid Travis- Stanford and
Mike Daum- South Dakota St.
Both are very good grad transfers. Unfortunately Cal would rather have 17-18 year old freshmen so it fits his narrative of "we're the youngest" and it makes him look better to try and win a championship starting 5 freshmen. Why in the world else would Richards start every game, get the tip, commit a foul and sit until the end of the game?

Both players are but whose to say that better options may present themselves down the road. Its only the first week of April and a lot of grad transfers still are to appear so there may be better players coming.Last season I wanted Cam Johnson bad and he didn't present himself to the grad transfer route until mid may I think...so we have time.

You tell me and we'll both know. He got Julius Mayes and then made a comment a couple years later that he doesn't want grad transfers or something to that effect. Kid from Stanford 6'8 about 245. Scored right at 19 plus in the pac 12.

Julius Mays was terrible. He was picked up out of desperation and played hard, but he was bad.

Outside of the part about Richards I agree with your post. Cal is too stubborn to take grad transfers but that would help win a title vs. having all freshmen. The kid from standfor sounds great but the big guy from South Dakota does too. I will bet a donut Cal won't give any consideration to any of these guys. Your first premise is right on the money. Pride will stand in the way.

This thread is completely off the rails lol.

As to the title... this is very positive news. At least for now. Bringing him in would be fantastic and give us a “top recruit.”

I put a smile much stock in to crystal ball picks as I do lottery numbers. I trust neither to work out the way I hope

Wow... the attacks on this take are vicious. I'll back you a bit.

Who really believes we were at our best with Richards on the floor? And if you don't why was he starting?

I can think of three reasons: 1. He showed more in practice than we ever saw, 2. He provided the most size with an athletic side, or 3. Cal was making a point starting 5 freshman and once he started he either didn't want to stop because it fit that "youngest" narrative or he couldn't because he thought it would decimate Nick.

This is why I seldom post on here. If you have an opinion that's different than "Cals a god" or "this is the greatest team ever" your automatically a dumbass or a terrible poster. I've been a UK fan for 47 years but it is what it is. I'll go back to watching the unicorns and rainbows when we win and the coach firing and player bashing when we lose.

said the same thing over and over. Dude ain't picking UK if UK returns all 5 PF/C players.
Our insiders say that EJ is backing off of us because he thinks he would primarily be s five for us.There is one guy that usually pretty accurate says it is between you and Unc and will depend on who y’all lose.
