Inside info doesn't do much for me anymore as most of the inside info on Knox was he would never wear a Ky jersey. I don't think they are toying with us, but more that his dad and Cal want him back. For all we know Kevin wanted to come back and Shai said I can't and it's making a hard call for him. Too much speculation right now when no ones knows the details except the Knox family. I still believe Knox wants to come back, but he probably wants Shai back with him. Who knows right now, but I will go to bed with dreams of Knox 3's reining down in a Ky jersey next season.

You’re tone deaf if that’s what you think. But you’re entitled to your opinion. This became a different situation once we learned cal was encouraging him to stay and his dads statements which is the bottom line. Shai putting off his decision until he knows Knox’s bc he might follow suit. Leave it behind closed doors no problem no one would say boo. But for cal to go full out unprecedented to try and get him to stay. For dad to say he’s leaning toward him staying. Well that just builds hope on the heels of a huge let down in our recruiting class.

As this article says about knox it’s unprecedented under cal to have a guy on the fence like this. This will sting if he goes. You know it

Not all of us are so fragile. Many fans can handle the news and comments as they come out.

At the end of the day it’s simply an 18 year old deciding where he will play a game next year...

I actually have a rock from that Shawshank rock wall. Found the field about 18 years ago – before high speed internet made finding film locations easy.

Finding the field was an adventure all by itself. Paid a random kid on a golf cart $10 to take me there.

It may sting some, but I would rather have a kid so torn about leaving then a Trae Young that doesn't get out of the dressing room after being knocked out of the tourney to tell us he's gone.

It’s a great thing. Part of the reason Cal lands these kids is because it’s hard for the MKGs, Towns, and Knoxs to leave, even when millions of dollars are at stake.

It’s why guys like Wall still advocate for Calipari. We don’t land these recruits in a vacuum separated from other past recruits and present NBA guys. They all talk. They know how awesome Cal and our fans really are.

Once the Coach K surge dies off in a few years, Cal will have his monopoly. In the meantime, I can stomach a Nike-funneled recruiting anomaly here or there.

Tomorrow will tell the tale. I hope KK's dad is telling him the NBA isn't going anywhere and the money will be there in a year. Go be a kid with your teammates and try for #9 because that will not always be there. Only this one time and then it's gone forever. Stay for #9 Kev!

It wouldn't sting so much if we hadn't had that nightmare end to the season.Yes we will have some guys back but I don't see a go to guy on our roster.Missing on RJ/Zion sucked.
No it doesn't, they made their choice...that's all I need to know bout them. Rj no so much, but how Zion went about it, announcing on a crucial gamenight, on ESPN , I hope he is a bust, a big fat bust. Him and his mom...the way they trolled us with Twitter following etc...hope Capel screws over k then becomes morbidly obese

It wouldn’t sting at all without a week of statements, cal trying to keep him and reports he Is torn. It is a Matt jones effect. To get as much behind the scenes as possible has junior wanna be journalists out like cockroaches to show us how the sausage is made. Well they keep telling me that we use tenderloin then i find out it’s lips and ********. After a while you become numb and settle for the lips and ********.

I mean the kid is young...he can and should have all the time in the world. I for one am glad Knox Sr was upfront with everything...he can't help the phone calls and the rehashing if same material. We as fans are owed nothing from them...come on. Taking way too seriously...I guess living thru probation Pitino, tubby, Billy g and Cal. I know better. I get it, the way to the final four opened up, Webber did the one thing to make it a game, he clogged lanes and double tronted shai...we lost. Still think I'll advised 3 from green, he hadn't hit a shot in over fifteen minutes, they mucked it up and let their experience win the game, also allowed a future felon to play, who was wanted by the feds..but. o digress

At the end of the day it’s about BBN. It’s 30,40,90 year old fans who are serious about basketball. Fragile has nothing to do with it. We all hate losing and Knox at this point after the hype not returning will feel like a loss. Lots of losing the last 3 years on and off the court. The apathy is setting in. Knox return is the only way i see that trajectory changing.

I dont see this team legit competing for a title next year wo Knox. We will be no better than this year. We will be preseason 3-5 and by feb we ll have 6-7 losses and staring another 4 seed down. That’s the bottom line in all this. From the fans vantage point that’s what we are vested in. Like I said another time Knox will likely go and I won’t say much about it if he does. Gonna make my opinion known now and move on. It will be a loss however and the compounding losses well I’d prefer to take losses with guys who stick around rather than in and out.

Heard the tree died or something, but no longer there. That would been cool adventure/quest

99% of UK fans have no idea Knox is even considering a return. They don’t pay attention in the off season. Majority don’t even know who our recruits are for next year. Most college basketball fans aren’t as insane as the posters on here. Barring a mass exodus of Gabriel, Green Vanderbilt and Washington we will be a top 5 team next year with or without Knox. I think you are vastly underestimating what we will have versus other teams out there. Knox is just the icing on the cake that would make us the hands down favorites.

We haven’t had anymore losing on or off the court the past 3 years than any other average 3 years in Wildcats history. You act like we have had an awful 3 years. The Murray team, the Monk and Fox team and this past seasons team weren’t bad teams. If you believe they were then you are spoiled and live in a fantasy land. Kentucky is the winningest team in history and our average record winning percentage wise would be a 27-9 season. 2018 26-11, 2017 32-6, 2016 27-9. Average the past 3 years out and you get 28.3-8.7. I’ll end my rant there.

If the kid doesn't even listen to his dad's advice I'm not sure how much you want Cal to connect with him.
Maybe connect wasn't the right term, but if both Dad and Cal are pitching staying it would seem that getting thru to the kid would not be such an insurmountable task.Knox Jr is one of the youngest players in the country but he was good enough and bright enough to have a good season at an elite program,if the two people who likely had the most to do with that see value in staying in school I think it wouldn't be rocket science to do so.My original post wasn't intended as a knock(yeah pun) on Cal just an observation of how this OAD thing has gotten out of control here more than all across college basketball.

As others have said, you’re an emotional wimp and unrealistic.
